The movers cared about the job they were doing and it shows. They were quick AND careful. I appreciated the coordination of having a new couch stored at your facility until the actual move out of state. Thank you for your professionalism and caring!

My experience with this company was not good. I realize some crews may do a great job but that was not the case in my situation. First they did not use the moving blankets properly. They only used plastic wrap (used a metal dolly without moving blankets, big no no) and then once on truck the blankets were thrown on top of furniture. The proper way would have been to place blankets on furniture and then wrap with plastic. I actually called early on to get this corrected but was no use. It just upset the movers. This would have prevented much of the damage to the wood furniture. They did this technique for one piece, the dinning room table, and it survived without damage. The other wood furniture however was not so lucky and sustained numerous major nicks in the wood that will have to be repaired. When I said something they (movers and manager) became argumentative making the situation worse. The one mover said I showed you that damage...yes you showed me some on the top of the bottom section of dresser and you can't see it when it's together. Finally the mover admitted that the damage I was referring to was new but didn't see to care. He just complained about being over worked. They also take their time moving even though they charge by the hour. I moved all the small stuff and boxes earlier. But it was still a 5 hour move and would have been longer if done properly and complete (did not move one bed bc it was taking too long). We will have to move it later ourselves. In the end to speed things up and because I didn't want further damage to the furniture they left without putting the beds together and left a cedar chest in the garage. After complaining about how the move was progressing the manager did stop the clock and give a discount. They also offered to put beds together but at that point I just wanted them to leave and not damage anything else. I will not be going through this company for the repairs because dealing with the manager is stressful and not worth my sanity. He also has a way of making you want to scream which isn't good for anyone. The go to is but we've been around for 129 years and move the finest of homes. Basiclly saying we've been around forever and can do no wrong. All in all after 8 moves (first time Gouffon user) this is the first time I've had a bad experience with a moving company which makes me really appreciate the previous movers I have used. I will not be using this company again because you never know if you'll get a good crew or a bad crew.
