Green Apple Moving

We hired Green Apple Moving to help my parents move to a new home. The scheduling was seamless, and the crew that showed up was amazing. Alberto, Zack and Skylar went above and beyond to make an otherwise stressful event enjoyable and carefree. Totally worth the money and we will absolutely be calling on them again!

Update to this review: Yesterday the owner, Charlie, reached out to me. He said that he was out of the country when all of this happened and apologized about not being able to get back with me sooner. I did find out that 'The Cowboy' had been fired. It is against their policy to blare music and behave the way he was. He also refunded me 1 hour in order to compensate for the driver not being prepared with the correct tools to take apart and rebuild my children's bunk beds in a timely manner. While my experience on the day of my move wasn't great, I am impressed by the amount of ownership that Charlie took of the situation. Running a business is hard and you don't always know who you're hiring when you hire them. A lot of companies also don't take accountability when something does go wrong. Charlie made sure to do right by me and assured me that this kind of thing is not normal. Their company had moved my boyfriend a few years ago and he had a positive experience, so I do believe Charlie in that regard and would hire them again. Changing my 1 star to a 3. Thank you Charlie.

I’m incredibly disappointed to write this review. I have spoken to the manager and called twice to follow up and haven’t heard anything from the owners. Let me be clear, the lack of accountability is what is leading me to write this review. I moved on Monday and hired a team of 3 based on Jeremy’s recommendation. I assumed that when 2 were busy, the 3rd would be doing something else to assist with the move because they do charge per hour based on how many people they send. Three movers arrived, one of whom I will refer to as ‘The Cowboy’ because he arrived in cowboy boots and proceeded to stomp around in them on my wood floors for the entirety of the move. He was obnoxious from the beginning, blaring music from his phone and yelling almost the entire time. Moving is stressful for everyone and that kind of energy does not help. I would have overlooked it if he was good at his job, but I am a single mom to 8 year old twins and the things that I own are it… There’s no buying more. Within the first 30 minutes, he took my dining room table and flipped it on its side without even thinking about the legs, which made a horrible cracking sound, damaging my table. Later, while the other two were working on my kid’s bunk bed, he apparently thought it was time for a smoke break, which felt incredibly disrespectful with how much these guys charge. I said something and he came back in, but proceeded to say that he was going to work slower if he couldn’t have a smoke break.
Then, apparently the drill they brought didn’t have a charged battery, so it took them twice as long as any other movers to take the bed apart and put it together on the other side. I assumed I would be charged less because of that, but they charged the normal hourly rate. As though all of that isn’t enough, when we got to my new house, ‘The Cowboy’ dragged my leather couch on it’s side across the garage floor without anything beneath it and played basketball on my children’s basketball hoop, wasting more of my time and money. Then, when he and the woman were carrying the exact same amount of weight up the stairs, she commented on the heated concrete floors. He looked at her like she was stupid and said, “that’s not how concrete works”. I said, “no, she’s right” and he looked me, a woman, square in the eye and said that you should never tell a woman that she’s right. This company has a serious problem in that employee and a serious problem when their employees don’t arrive prepared. They were disrespectful, took a ridiculous amount of time to move the minimal amount of things they needed to move and damaged my property. On top of that, the owners don’t seem to care enough to return a phone call and take ownership of their employees mistakes. I would NEVER hire them again and I will tell everyone I know and care about not to hire them.

I have used them twice. Once to unload and another to load. Each team was professional, quick, and with constant smiles. The manager, Jeremy was very helpful and had great suggestions for my move.
