Green Van Lines Moving Company - Dallas

Logan and his crew were amazing, they did a great job moving my things to two different locations.

Large Home Cross Country move from Texas to Florida. Everything started great, but went downhill from there. They will not move or transport any liquids, which they told me beforehand, so I was prepared for that. They left all my liquids including my alcohol on the floor or counters. I came back to pick it up and/or throw away and realized my favorite bottle of Tequila was missing ($75 bottle). As they were leaving I called the guy in charge and told him it was missing, it quickly became apparent their crew has stolen it. They couldn't deny it, and he knew it was there. Upon delivery I paid for a full service pack, unpack, box haul away and I added the full coverage insurance (which is a joke and a nightmare to deal with still 60 days in with no replies). The crew literally threw my things anywhere they could find, damaged my walls by leaving heavy shipping Crates against the walls, broke things and hid them, didn't fully unpack, didn't reassemble furniture including primary items like my bed and daughters crib. Additional items were stolen or lost, and they left before I ever got there I literally did not sign or approve anything. The new owner Beau was non responsive for a month and I still have no resolution.

STAY AWAY FROM GREEN VAN LINES...

Editing this review quite a bit later after the move since I was reminded at how things actually went. Green Van Lines 100% scammed me. I was requested to leave my review at pickup, not at dropoff. Turns out they had, without my knowledge, contracted my move to a third party. The third party arrived at my new place several days early. He attempted to charge me extra for stairs and distance, despite me clearing all of that with Green Van Lines ahead of time (we had an elevator and were truck accessible right up to the front door.) On top of that, he was the only one there. I had to help move my own stuff off the truck and inside because he couldn't hire local people off of Craigslist in time to help. Don't even get me started on the company they recommended to move my car.

Absolutely shameful. I did not get what I paid for. Do not use this company ever.

I wouldn’t recommend this company. Was very unprofessional when my furniture was delivered. This is my first review that I made with this company. Someone put the other positive review stating it came from me. Very scandalous

Steve and his team were excellent. Paperwork clearly explained and all questions were answered. Pick up was completed efficiently and all of my belongings were handled with care. Kind, patient, and hardworking! Quoting price was accurate and honored. Would definitely recommend using GVL as I will be using them again to complete part two of my move in a few months! Very pleased with my pick up experience.

UPDATE:

My belongings were picked up May 11th. I was promised clear communication. Disappointed. Countless voicemails and emails left unanswered and ignored! My delivery date was scheduled for May 22nd. It is now May 29 and I have not heard ANYTHING from this company since my pick up on May 11th. PLEASE RETURN MY CALL/ EMAIL! Misty, I would like an update. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

UPDATE:

Movers required additional compensation for unloading my belongings. My contract detailed to unload and re-assemble furniture. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. Movers threatened to leave with my belongings if I did not pay an additional 1k cash! HAD TO PAY EXTRA and they only delivered my damaged and poorly handled items outside. No reassembly and many parts completely broken. NO RESPONSE OR COMMUNICATION FROM COMPANY SINCE!

Please do yourself a favor and do NOT trust them with your belongings or your move. You will regret working with them!

Start of my experiences was promising but they did not deliver or honor our contract. SCAM!!
