Harrington Moving & Storage

Jeff and his team did an outstanding job of moving an upright piano. He was able to accommodate the request on short notice, between his larger jobs. His team was on time, courteous and professional at all times. I would highly recommend Harrington Moving & Storage for any and all your moving and storage needs.

We used this moving company to pack and move our home . The trucks loaded , instead of using the driveway , tried to go out over the lawn. Sunk the truck up to its hubcaps. After we moved , my brother got very ill and a few months later died . Because I was busy caring for him , taking him to doctors hospital and finalizing his estate , I didn’t get down to basement room where my antique piano was placed. After he died I went down to find the case had been ruined and all the keys broken. I had a professional piano tuner/ restorer come to tune and view the damage . It took five thousand dollars to restore the damaged they did to the piano. I feel I should be reimbursed for the repair. It was obvious that it wasn’t properly wrapped for moving. They knew they did the damage because the music stand was held together with scotch tape!!!!!! The man in charge ignored the directions i gave on how to pack the music stand . I also have a grandmothers clock that was not moved properly and the weights and chains are impossible to put back on and where not wrapped for protection when moving. Don’t know how much that will cost because I can’t find anyone who repairs grandmothers clocks. It’s been sitting - not working. It’s was a nightmare ! It’s the name on the boxes and same truck stuck in the mud.) I have pictures of truck stuck in mud and the damage to the piano.

was quoted $550 to move three small pieces of furniture pricey but I ageeed). got a call the next morning advising unilaterally that it would be $750 instead of $550 for the time I requested. after back and forth it was $550 again. on the day of, I could not get a copy of the coi I had requested multiple times, and there was again complete confusion on the time we had agreed to.

when I explained a third time that I had work and could not come running to meet them in the morning, I was told that this was a small job, and the company was doing me a favor. realizong this place was going to be nothing but trouble for me, I cancelled and found another vendor.

while I typically don't write reviews, I felt the need to do so here. movers can take advantage of the fact that the customer is stressed and has limited options the day of. don't risk it with this guy, happy to share the other vendor's info with those that are interested. good luck.
