I would give half a star if possible. This experience was possibly the most stressful moving experience and 100% not worth the money. I made moving arrangements with Harvey's Moving company on March 1, 2022, for a move date of April 2, 2022. I was contacted by Harvey, he asked me intake questions, gave me a quote of 1,099 dollars, and told me I needed to make a deposit of 299 dollars . Harvey assured me that even if I needed to move earlier than the 2nd of April, his company will 'undoubtedly accommodate'. May I mention that after he received the deposit there was no contract sent, nothing was signed and there was no follow-up. When making my reservation I was told the movers would be at my house between 8&9am. I received an email the day of the move at 7:56 am letting me know they were running behind and they wouldn't be at my residence until 12- noon. Cool, no problem. I'm a single mom of 4 kids, my youngest is 3 months old and I am recovering from a very traumatic pregnancy, delivery, and recovery, so loading a Uhaul is not something I am physically capable of. The time quickly turned into 1 pm and I still haven't heard from Harvey nor his movers, I contacted every number listed under their contact information about 12 times each. Finally, around 2:30 pm I received an email explaining that the movers were experiencing a flat and were getting a new truck. I responded to the email by asking to be contacted Via phone, I'm sitting in an empty packed-up house with 3 kids and a newborn.No one contacted me. At this point im looking up how much it would cost to just rent a Uhaul myself, putting my own health issues aside for the sake of my family and children. However, I was not willing to throw away 299 dollars. So I waited, around 3 pm I received a call from the movers stating they were on their way, at the same time I received an email from Harvey's moving company (in response to my 'Please call me ASAP' email) expressing their condolences and offering a 50$ discount. The movers arrived and I show them what needed to be moved (there was no contract signed, as stated on their website)....there is absolutely no way these movers were properly trained on how to pack a moving truck. I had to transport some of my own belongings in my minivan because they poorly packed the truck and were not able to securely transport my television. I was finally able to speak with Mr.Harvey once I asked the mover to contact him, I NEVER (even now two days later) have received a phone call, as I requested. Along with calling, I texted the number that Mr.Harvey had sent the deposit request through, I received no response. However, upon delivery, Mr.Harvey texted me a screenshot of his cash app ($HarveysMoving) and told me that is where I can send the remaining (discounted) balance of 750 dollars. The end result of this was I wasted 1,049 on a 200 dollar job, there is no professionalism behind ignoring your customers, I was up until 3 am putting beds together while juggling a newborn because the truck wasn't being done unloaded until 9:30 pm. I truly feel robbed of not only time but money as well. DO NOT WASTE YOURS
