Here to There Movers

Horrendous Experience. The Movers themselves were honestly fantastic, so it's a shame. The guys were great. The company is extremely disappointing. We moved while I was very pregnant. To that end, I got quotes from many different moving companies. Ultimately, I decided to go with Here to There because we had used this same company to move from Cincy to up to Columbus a few years ago and had an excellent experience. Terrible decision. We were moving a 3800 sq foot house. We were quoted two trucks. Only one showed up the other had broken down and the company would not allow the head person on our job to rent another. They filled the truck as much as possible. Drove over to the new house, unloaded and tried to go back to get more. The truck broke down in the middle of our street blocking our NO OUTLET street completely. It took hours for this to be resolved. They rented the trucks from another company. Finally the guys left to get another truck that was being returned. That truck was smaller than the original truck. They could not fit everything from the old house into that truck. My husband had to go back to our old house at 5am the next day and get the rest of the items. They drove the second load over to the new house, arriving at 11:45 or so PM. They did not complete the unloading until 1:30AM. Most of it being unloaded into the garage in an effort to go quickly since it was so late. They did not leave the house until 2:15AM. The guys were great, but nothing was done the way I was quoted.

We spent the next three days and even still re-arranging the garage and moving more boxes around because things weren't put in the correct place. Due to time and exhaustion. Our young children were not able to be in a bed until 1am---the move started at 8am, that's ridiculous.

The worst part by far is trying to deal with them after the fact. I NEVER should have paid the bill. I called, explained everything that occurred and barely got an 'I'm sorry'. Instead he acted like I should be upset with the company they rented the trucks from---YOU rented them for my moving job. That's your responsibility. I will NEVER use them again and I certainly will spread the word as well. At the very least there should be a refund. We tipped the guys very well, but that company itself deserves no money for the horrible experience we went through.

Again, the movers were really nice guys. The Company itself is horrible.

Terrible service. They were supposed to help me move for two hours. Gave me the runaround until they final informed me that their entire staff had quit and would not be able to go forward with the move. Absolutely atrocious

We waited all day and they did not show. Said they would arrive between 1 -4pm. They called at 5 said they were running late then after a couple more calls they said they couldn't make it.

Broke our desk. Broke our chest. Scrapped our hardwood floor. Moved some boxes that weren’t supposed to be included in the move resulting in more items being broken. Overall I don’t feel like much care was taken with our items. Didn’t seem very professional and we definitely weren’t compensated for the damage.

That new manager has turned that place around down there.. won’t have any problems from her she dog gone good lookin too..
