Herrmann Brothers Moving

I gave this place my business as I read up on some reviews about them which were good and the person who I spoke with was pleasant and appeared to know what he was talking about. I spoke to this person a couple of time - the first time was about shipping my car. The price was a bit high for me so I passed. He then followed up with me and I expressed interest in using their services for my household items. He first gave me a verbal estimate and had me count up my items. The second time we spoke, I suggested we do a virtual estimate thru Facetime and he agreed. I went around the house and basement counting up my items, what was going and what was not. After a few days the gentleman from Herman Brothers gave me a quote which was $3300, a tad more than what we initially talked about but OK. Moving day comes and the contracted moving company arrives and goes through my inventory. The driver tells me that I was under-estimated and it was going to cost at least $5000 - big difference from the agreed upon quote. I had no choice at this point since I was flying out in 2 days. The worst part is, the moving company didn’t even look at the inventory so some items were not shipped with the truck. Beware!
