I'm not sure how a 5-star review company has me sitting here writing a 1-star review. In summary - they never showed for my move. I was moving a family member from Philadelphia to South Carolina. The company driving the truck with the belongings to here hired Highway Men to unload the truck once it arrived here. I was told from the moving company that 'we use them all the time and they are reliable'. Plus, they work on Sundays which was a bonus for us. The truck showed up from Philly on time on the Sunday morning. Highway Men did not show. Granted, this was 2 days after a hurricane, and we tried to confirm with them on the Saturday but no response. I have the email confirming their arrival at 9am to the storage unit (from Highway Men). After waiting an hour, the original moving called me and said that he talked to a manager at H-Men, and he had no knowledge of a job that he weas hired to do. Again, I have the confirmation email from them. As a result, a senior citizen and the driver of the truck (who was not a mover), were forced to unload the entire truck and move the items into storage basically in the dark with a flashlight as there was no power. Over the next week or so, I called twice and wrote 2 emails asking at least for an explanation as to why they didn't show or respond to the phone calls so we could at least try to hire someone else to help us that Sunday. No response to this day and it has been 3 weeks since the move. I wanted to at least get the story straight from them in case the original moving company (who hired H-Men) dropped the ball. After not hearing from them for 3 weeks, I feel it is safe to write this review and let others know to be careful when hiring this company. I'm not sure how the 5-star review people got in touch with this company, but from where I sit, it took 2 days for the original moving company to get in touch with anyone from there, who then completely dropped the ball on my move which proved to be more than stressful than it should have been. I would never use this company again. Not bad customer service - NO customer service.

They were very nice and polite and moved all of my things safely. I highly recommend Highway Men Moving.
