I used Home Movers 2 1/2 ago and they where wonderful. A father and son moved us They are very professional and thorough We moved from a 3 bdrm on the 3rd floor to a 3 bdrm on the 1st floor and never complained. They were running about 45 mins late ... But made up for it in their customer service. They even setup the beds and placed all of the boxes in the designated rooms. So now, I'm planning to move again and decided to check the reviews to see if things have changed in the past 2 1/2 years before booking a move. WOW! Alot has changed in 2 years. Reading the reviews I guess it's depends on what contractors that you get. Like rollong the dices. I guess I'll keep looking.
DO NOT USE!! BIGGEST ISSUE: MY COUCH WAS TORN! The movers did not tell me about it. I noticed after they had left. I spoke with Mark and he asked me to send pics. I have not received a response and he will not answer or return my call. It has been 3 weeks! They did not inform me ahead of time of things they would NOT move - no glass items! (mirrors, glass inserts for tables and entertainment center). The movers were nice but slow. I helped load and unload and it still took 3.5 hours. I live by myself in a 1 bedroom apt. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Their quality definitely explains why they were cheaper than any other company I quoted. I do not recommend using them.
This is the 2nd time I have used this moving company. First move awesome 2 guys came and moved me within the 2 hrs. Now this past weekend move, HORRIBLE. Appointment time 8-9. They showed up at 10:15. Took them 4 hours to move my 2 beds, couch, W&D and table. To a full 2 bedroom apartment. Countless smoke, and water breaks and just hanging around. I even had to help move things off the truck. I had to call family and friends to assist with the rest if my moving because not all of my things fit in the small truck. I will not be using them again.
1 female mover and 1male mover that owner Mark did not inform I was moving to 3rd floor. Movers was not happy. My son and I ended up physically helping move furniture into a 1 bedroom apt. Be aware they do not use tolls which is impossible due to me leaving on service road of George Bush when you are charged hourly. The movers told me they will take the side streets or Mark will charge them $100. I then proceeded to contact owner his response" it hasn't been a problem before". It took the drivers over 45 minutes to arrive from Rowlett to Rowlett yes same city 7 miles away due to that. I called for the owner left a detailed message and sent a text message trying to find out the location of his movers. Mark never called me back. Save yourself a disaster move.
Pick another company! All is well until they break something. Item was broken during move on a Sunday. They sent me a text message asking me to send photos. I did so that day. The person via email said they file a claim the following Monday. Called to follow up 2 weeks later. Person answering phone says I need to communicate via email with the email I sent the photos to. At the point I've followed up several times with the email and received no response. Guy answering phone is no help. I'm want them the pay for the desk they break...that's all nothing more.
