This company was stellar from start to finish. I called at the last minute to request a local move in Pikeville. Fortunately, Ms. Whitney could work us in during our desired time frame. The quote that we agreed on was more than reasonable. Although the moving crew was projected to arrive later in the afternoon, they called and were ready to start by noon. Mr. Bill, Mr. Robert, Mr. Ben, and Mr. Mikey performed like a well-oiled machine, and that is an understatement. Because of the outstanding service provided by Hometown Movers, we have rehired them to return and move our belongings to a storage facility. In my 21-year marriage, we have moved over 15 times. I have seen all types of moving issues, and I consider myself to be a pretty seasoned mover. I pack my items well (because I have done it a million times), I research moving companies, and I usually get the move done for about what the estimate was (or less) because I am a pretty good judge of what needs to be done.

I say all of this so that everyone understands that when I say that Hometown Movers helped me after a moving disaster, you know that I have just about seen it all and if I call a move a disaster... it was an absolute disaster.

My family moved from Georgia to Kentucky. This was a new type of move for me. No one in Georgia wanted to move us to Eastern Kentucky, and it never occurred to me to contact movers in Kentucky to come and get our stuff from Georgia. Because of this, I hired a company that specialized in long-distant moves. This is the biggest moving mistake I have ever made. The other company contracted out our move, things were broken, everything we owned was thrown into one room, and they held our items hostage on the truck until we paid them more money than what we agreed to.

My husband injured his arm, and my son JUST left for basic training for the army, so I was at a loss for what to do. I had already paid for a move and I couldn't fix the mess that was left by the other movers.

I looked online and contacted a few local moving companies. Hometown Movers immediately replied and were able to get out very soon. This was great because I couldn't even get to our beds. I was still nervous because I had just had such a horrible experience with the other company.

The team showed up early and helped me move everything around in record time. They were nice and hard working. You could tell that they felt bad for the situation I was in, even though it was in no way their fault.

If you are looking for local movers in Kentucky, or even if you are looking for long-distance movers, I would strongly suggest Hometown movers. I wish that I would have found this company when I was looking for a full-service moving company to move me from Georgia.

These guys are so awesome. They helped me out of a jam twice. I had just bought my new home and the process was very difficult and we didn't know what our closing date was so we couldnt set anything up. When we finally got the closing date we had another issue.... finding a truck to move in. To our dismay there weren't any moving truck available. So I called Hometown Movers. They not only were able to move us in the next day they estimated me a certain price but only charged me a much lower amount. I'm not saying they can do this everytime for everyone but they do do their best for everyone. They where very respectful and careful with my things. They where kind and respectful to me. They worked in a timely manner and they were very professional. I would definitely use them again and recommend these guys to anyone they are an amazing company. Thanks guys I really appreciate everything.

Our experience with Hometown movers was excellent. They moved all of our furniture and belongings from our old house to our new one in just a few hours without any damage or issues..
