Thank you Eli for the help. The movers came and made sure all items were properly sealed and protected. Made a hard task look so easy

I was really disappointed with this company. They got great reviews, I liked their salesperson, and they had a very competitive price. Moving day came and they came on time and they did a great job with the stuff they moved (one thing broken, one thing missing, not unexpected). After they left, we realized they hadn’t assembled our bed (they hadn’t assembled our daughters’ beds, either, but all the parts were there, and they were pretty easy for us to do ourselves).
We also discovered the parts necessary for assembling our bed were not there. This was a bed we purchased almost 25 years ago, and the parts were non-standard.
I asked why the parts were not in a labeled ziploc bag taped to the bed frame (as I would have done). Their answer: “We were out of ziploc bags.”
Seriously???
It turns out they don’t not even use ziploc bags, they have this super-cool giant shrink wrap that holds everything together.
Which they weren’t out of. In fact, they had used it on the frame.
Then they said they’d come out and look at the bed and try to figure out what parts it needed.
They didn’t.
Then they said we want to make this right, but we can’t.
I totally get that.
So we’ll write you a check, let us know what amount would make it right.
So I gave them a figure. Maybe it was high, I don’t know. It was less than half the cost of the move. Or you could say, almost half the cost of the move. It was less than half of the cost of a bed of comparable quality. It was a lot. I assumed they’d make a counter-offer.
I never heard from them again.

Quick, efficient and friendly! All of this at a very reasonable rate compared to what the “recommended” movers quoted to move my hot tub . Will be keeping these movers in my contacts list!
