International Sea & Air Shipping

They shipped all our contents and classic car from TX to Wales quickly and efficiently. The team load and unloading were great getting everything ready for the container and into our house at the other end.

I have had an excellent experience. I am so happy with how smoothly my international shipping process went (from NY to France). I thank everyone involved for their expertise, follow through and attention to detail through the numerous steps to make this all so easy and stress-free. I highly recommend International Sea and Air Shipping.

Picked up June 20, arrived USA September 17

I was very dissatisfied with International Sea and Air Shipping based out of Newyork, USA
Here’s why:

Poor communication
Once I made the deposit, they won’t pick calls, won’t return them in a timely manner either.no communication. I had to reach out to them every step demanding timelines and asking what was going on. Most times, I’ll leave a message and follow up again and yet no response. I figured if I emailed and copied everyone’s email I have in their office, someone would respond, and it worked.

Not coordinated
They messed up my plans after I arrived France, working with a June 3 confirmation. I had to leave France without a pick up. Pick up was done 2 weeks later in my absence. Made me wonder why I spent the time and money going there for the shipping in the first place.

Not professional
Hillary threatened to cancel our arrangement which was made months in advance. She talked down and berated her colleague, telling me to 'forget about anything he says'. She tried to tag on an additional $500 because of her June 3 scheduling mishap. When I fought back, she still tagged on $480 for change of delivery location (Initially Detroit)

No Empathy
While I was in France panicking because they couldn’t make the date they agreed on. I felt on my own trying to find a way to reach their partner shipping company, Schmidt Global, which I did, even on a weekend. International Sea and Air Shipping however told me they could not reach them because it was the weekend.

No Itinerary or timeline provided
I had to insist to be provided an itinerary and tracking for my container, which was otherwise not provided.

Schmidt Global (out of the Netherlands) on the contrary is the company to go with. They were very professional and assured me they would go and pick my belongings in the storage unit. They took videos and pictures and sent them to me.

I received my belongings pleasantly surprised at how well everything was packed. Everything was intact too. Nothing was missing and nothing was damaged. I have shipped internationally with a different company in the past and Schmidt’s packing is top notch compared to the other company. You could see the care they put into packing my stuff. Not one item as damaged!

What began as a nightmare with International Sea and Air Shipping ended up beautifully because of Schmidt Global.
