Iowa Moving 1

I've moved a lot in the past 30 years and I've seen it all. This was a flawless experience. I was given a window of 11:30a-1:30p; the moving crew showed up at 11:30 on the dot. Like, the doorbell rang at EXACTLY 11:30. Never had that happen before. One guy was very funny and entertaining. The other was rather silent but EFFICIENT. He worked from minute 1 to the minute the job was done. They both did. Hustle the whole time. Seriously--my mother's entire apartment was loaded and unloaded in about 2-1/2 hours.

Stuff was loaded onto the truck well. From the arrangement I wasn't concerned about any breakage or damage at all, and they even asked up front if there was anything I wanted special care with. If a particular piece concerned them as they got to it later they asked again if I wanted any extra padding for it--and not because they were trying to sell me any lol. (A couple of things I later discovered they'd extra wrapped anyway with some old quilts I planned to throw away. Good lookin out, guys! LOL.) Unloading at the storage facility was just as quick and professionally handled. I even needed them for a bit longer than I originally requested, and it was easy to just tack on another half hour without a bunch of added fees or hassle.

Communication with them during and after scheduling the move was excellent. I never had to contact them again right up to moving day; they were already sending me regular updates. And they're a Small Business, definitely had the 'we're here to take care of you' feel and attention, before, during and after. Six stars if Google would let me. DEFINITELY will use them again. Definitely.

Oh, and PS:
This whole thing was scheduled and handled on EXTREMELY short notice. I called on Friday afternoon, they came on Tuesday morning (only because they were booked Monday). Which also happened to be New Year's Eve. Fantastic service.

I called Iowa Moving 1 to get a quote and availability. I worked with Eric who was great. He was very friendly, informative, and patient as I was planning my move. As the time got closer to my move, he communicated/coordinated well with me.

The actual move/unpacking of the truck went great. The 2 movers were there on time when I needed them. They were friendly and hard working. If I ever need to move in this area again I'd defiantly choose them again.

Iowa Moving 1 was referred to us by our realtor, Amber Salmon. From the start, Eric was very friendly and worked with us on our moving dates and needs. The team of movers we had were amazingly hard workers and asked us what more they could do to help us. How refreshing! I highly recommend Iowa Moving 1 and would absolutely utilize their services again!

Would not recommend. Eric was very professional and courtesy in organizing the move and Shawn was great, but overall I am not happy with the amount of damage to my furniture. The more I unpack and get organized, the more damage I come across. Chunks of wood taken out of my bedroom furniture and dining room table. After spending $1400 for moving service, I'm having to spend more money to fix the damage the best I can, but its all still noticeable. I did receive only a $50 discount for damage that I noticed the day of move, which included torn couch and torn cover on my adjustable bed frame. I paid for a moving service specifically because my furniture is nice, heavy, and expensive. Had I known how it would turn out, I would have just hired friends who would have taken care and consideration to not do damage. If you have similar possessions, I would recommend going somewhere else based on this experience.

Movers showed up on time. Was careful with my things and very friendly. Would definitely recommend them!!!!
