Jack and his team showed up on short notice with all of the equipment they needed, loaded a full kitchen (including cabinets and appliances) and delivered everything from Massachusetts to Maine promptly and professionally. J&J is my first call for another move.
I hired this company to do a move of my business, heavy safe and multiple workbenches. They didn't bring the tools necessary to move the safe, so we borrowed from my building. On the way down they broke the freight elevator and had to leave safe in the vestibule for a few weeks until they could return. I agreed it was fine to return to finish the job with a pallet jack and truck with lift gate a few weeks later. The day came and they brought a truck that mover reported had a tilted lift gate. They dropped the safe which weighs approximately 2200 onto the ground outside of my workplace and delivered it inside unknowingly UPSIDE DOWN. Every component of the safe was broken and the safe appears to be locked out from the inside from the fall. I can’t open my store without a safe. Instead of making sure the solution was to get me something that was comparable to what I had he first offered me first $50 off while the movers were still in the store. then he offered $1200 over 3 payments. The total cost of either having a rigger remove, upright and have repairs made OR replacing with a used safe is around $5000. Half the cost is just turning it right side up. So far he has avoided giving me insurance information, which makes me wonder why. If you are 'Fully Insured', why would you offer 1/4 of what the cost is to replace in a timely manner? I will be reporting him to Consumer Protection Bureau, BBB, and state because thus far he has been unwilling to provide any information regarding insurance. I have been patient and reasonable and he ignored repair quotes, the cost and timeline of getting.a replacement, and so far offered me a quarter of what his company’s accident has cost me.
Not including loss of income for the month of December. When you break somebody’s property and it requires special services to be replaced and made whole, you don’t dodge it- You apologize profusely for the series of mess ups and damage that occurred in the first place and make it as easy as possible for them to move on. Especially when they are kind and understanding the whole time. Thus far I've paid approximately 5600 to the movers and for a replacement safe and removal of the destroyed safe and he still is refusing to provide the 'FULLY INSURED' coverage he advertises having.
His workers were really good guys who felt awful about it, and I seriously expected this to be handled differently. But the owner is the one making these claims and decisions, so this falls on him. Workers were really great guys.
Refused to follow contract to show up at the agreed upon time. Was rude when asked to follow their contract and will not provide a deposit refund in a timely manner. Refused to answer calls would not own up or apologize. Very unprofessional.

Very rude, and extremely unprofessional. Will not respond to calls. Only text. Took my deposit, and broke contract. Do not attempt to use j&j services. Be warned. They will not provide the services they guarantee via contract.
