Review:

We recently used JD’s for an unexpected dorm move out when the elevator in my daughter’s building broke. We called at 8 am explained the situation and they were able to help us. They were reasonably price, quick to respond, and careful with our belongings. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this moving company! We moved interstate and had issues with the other moving company we hired and had to store all our things in a storage unit. We called this company the very late night before we actually moved in and the owner answered the phone despite late hours and assured me he would take care of us. His prices are reasonable and he was so kind. The movers did a phenomenal job and quick too! Really appreciated the whole experience. Definitely recommend if you are looking to move locally!

Integrity is not a value here…Please read my personal experience…This moving company has a resale store Called Furnature Barn and I went there today to purchase an Uttermost mirror advertised on Facebook. I called first, spoke to Linda to ensure the mirror had not sold and then drove quickly to the store. I was told by the same clerk Linda who worked the resale store of the additional warehouse of items next door. Interested in looking there as I’m a professional shopper and decorator, I asked should I pay for the mirror before going there and Linda said no SHE WOULD HOLD THE MIRROR BEHIND THE COUNTER TIL I RETURNED FROM THE WAREHOUSE. At the warehouse, I met the owner who seemed pleasant and he shared with me about his moving company. Being a Real Estate Broker for over 25 years, I listened as he might be a good referral for my clients. After speaking to him and selecting a piece of artwork to purchase from a large stack, Linda walked into the warehouse and said another customer called and offered twice what the mirror was priced. Quite shocked I said of course you told the customer it was sold correct? Linda proceeded to tell me this was business and because I had not paid for the mirror that she could sell it to someone else. That her job was to make Danny the most money. Again as I was quite shocked she said unless I wanted to beat the other customers price she was going to sell it to this customer. I said
1. I offered to pay before walking to the warehouse
2. I agreed to buy the mirror at the price marked
3. I was told you would hold it and I could pay when I returned.

Linda turned and walked away. I just stood there stunned, processing what happened. I walked back into the store moments later and approached Linda asking well what did you decide? Again I was told this was just business and that whatever price I offered, the other customer would offer more. Just business?!?!? I said no mam, this is about trust, honesty and integrity. By the way I was there in person and the other customer was calling by phone. Linda told me it was first come first serve. I then put down the watercolor, walked away without purchasing the antique vase I had also found and said let the other customer have the mirror, I refuse to get into a bidding war over your desire to make more money and not honoring your word. By the way you just lost a very good customer. I proceeded to walk back to the warehouse and share with the owner Danny the experience I just had. He said he just heard the earlier conversation. I then said that Linda said he authorized selling the mirror to the other customer after I drove here to buy it at the price marked and it was being held for me while I was on the premises. Danny just looked at me. He had told Linda to speak to me about it that basically it could go to the highest bidder. SHAMEFUL! I said it wasn’t about the money, it’s about integrity. I also said this reflects poorly on your moving company if you do business this way. I told him he just lost a good customer and that I will not refer his business to my clients due to this experience. By the way, they lost me over $40 the other customer offered by phone to pay above the marked price on the mirror. $40!!!!! I also didn’t purchase the additional $80 in items either. I do business with integrity and only recommend companies that value integrity as well.

We were blown away by the work of the team JD Johnson Moving sent to help my husband load up our moving truck. They did an amazing job! The guys they sent were quick, but also careful to take excellent care of our things as they loaded up our truck. My husband thought it would take all day, that not everything would fit in the truck we’d rented and that he’d still need to do more work after they left, but the JD Johnson Moving team knew what they were doing and efficiently loaded everything in the truck, with room to spare, in just a few hours. We still talk about how hiring them was the best money we’ve spent in a long time. I can’t recommend them enough.
