JFK Moving San Bernardino Movers

On 8/10/24, JFK Movers moved me into my new home, which had brand new floors. They damaged a valuable piece of vintage furniture, as well as my floors. Before the move began, I specifically asked about full-value coverage due to the value of some of my belongings. In violation of the guidelines set forth by the Surface Transportation Board, I was told they DID NOT OFFER full-value coverage by the foreman, Miguel.

The furniture: JFK offered to take my vintage teak buffet and restore the damage. What they returned was a completely different color (this is part of a matching set), and improperly finished. The espresso finish remained tacky because the wood had not been prepared properly, and it had not been sealed. It came off at the slightest touch. They picked it back up to strip it and restore it to its original finish, but have had the piece over a month. I'm not sure what 'professional' furniture shop they are using, but it looked to have been applied by a complete amateur. After having my buffet for another month (today is 10/27), they refuse to give me a return date. They have invited me to take legal action or accept the .60/lb payout, which I would have been happy to do, had I known how poorly they would treat this valuable piece. I simply would like it returned in its original condition in a timely fashion.

The floors: After a representative acknowledging the scratches and attempted to use some wipes to remove them from the floors, he said they would treat the entire floors to resolve the issue. They now claim the scratches were pre-existing and that they are not visible. I am including photos for reference. They clearly gouged the floor while moving the buffet. I would like compensation in order to repair the floors.

This has been an unnecessarily drawn-out and difficult experience, with a complete lack of customer support/service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I called JFK movers on a Friday and they were able to assist on Monday afternoon. James was very helpful on making the reservation and answered all of my questions. On the day of the move, Mark arrived, explained the process and went to work. He wrapped everything with care and went to work. He and his partner worked quickly and carefully. I had always been concerned about hourly movers but not with JFK. At the end the bill was handled by Mark. I will definitely use JFK movers again and recommend them.

I had to move my things out the other day and I found a very spectacular shop that provides the needed moving supplies for a very reasonable price. This is for me the first experience with Moving. Recommended you guys to have a look around to make your move easy, safe and sound.

I highly recommend this place for those who value their time and do not want to go in search as there is a very large set of supplies. I was going to move and I really needed things like boxes, blankets, papers and etc. I came to this place and found everything I needed at a very reasonable price and in a short time.
