I have an unfortunate experience and sad matter of this operation and how “policies” are handled. I had my Aunt who had a unit here at this facility for two months before she passed away. Well who’s the one who comes to the rescue like I have for most my passed on family members? Myself. I don’t even live in Ohio anymore I live in South Carolina. So financially I caught up the unit on behind payments while my name and my one living Uncle F. name is was on the unit. Not knowing my Aunt hadn’t given us the set of keys she bought the lock from their facility.
Well guess who decided to come up to Ohio to get this unit cleaned out back in October? Myself.
Let alone drove by myself to Ohio 12 hours to complete this task.
Not knowing what was about to occur when we walked in. Even though my name was on this unit and MY name is on the DEATH CERTIFICATE of my Aunt of this unit. Regardless of probate court which can take years because not one soul has the keys nor was a living WILl ever left with my Aunt let alone any and all my passed on immediate family never had a living will. I have taken care of 8 deaths in my family since 2009. Besides my back story.
I basically was denied access all over the board with this task to be taken care of.
This unit was all of my late grandparents house I grew up in what was left. Which my one other uncles remains where left behind too.
I’m just irritated how I had to let this account go into default so I can set an account to their website for auction.
BUT I would physically have to be here in OHIO and the 60 days would have been to this date and how would I come up during Christmas holidays? Yeah they call to remind you that the account is in default. But what had been noted and obvious circumstances of this story is how I get a reminder call asking to talk to my Aunt, as I replied she’s dead. So they quickly apologized and hung up. How does that make me feel?
I just think it’s an inside scam when your loved one’s belongings are locked up and then taken away by a bidder who can physically be there just pay for the unit on hand. Because by myself is no adventure anyone wants to sadly deal with this. I suggest that if anyone has a loved one that has a unit make sure you get their keys and your name on unit so you don’t have to juggle emotions and bitter anger. What if you are subjected to no access without a simple key? It hurts deeply and is shocking. I even had habitat for humanity all scheduled and had two extra hands to help me sort and distribute donated goods. I hope whoever gets this locker understands the pain I am dealing with. All my family pictures and my uncles remains and my childhood growing up at my grandparents was in that unit. Hopeful someone has a kind heart to let those go back to me. I’m so torn up that I had to let something go that I worked my butt off to keep up and pay monthly on this unit. No good deed is left unturned or is it? I don’t like this situation for anyone so I rather let their be light at the end of this dark side of reality. Only gave two stars knowing I still have good inside my empathetic heart.

Very friendly gestures in greeting me as a customer. Very clean for a storage unit. real good prices. Helps me out in the long run.
