SCAM ARTISTS!!! I was contacted by this group after searching online for a mover to move me out of state. They pretend to care and claim how religious they all are, but they are frauds. The person I initially spoke with (Richard) to book my move, went over all of my belongings to make an 'estimate' of the amount of cubic feet that I would need to pay for in order to move. This is where they get you folks, in that 'estimate'. By the time I got to the second call confirming my cubic feet was still the same, I realized that Richard conveniently put things on my list that I don't even own and when I had to correct all of that and put on list what I was actually bringing with me, how convenient that my quote went up substantially to another $3000 dollars. I lost it and called owner who agreed to bring the move down to my original budget + $300 more and we agreed to continue with move. 2 days before the move another person (Frank) calls to follow up to make sure that we are still on target for my 'estimated' cubic feet and as far as I was concerned, we should have been under as I over estimated the amount of boxes I would need and I was leaving behind a very large 2 piece armoir, so I felt confident that my move would be even cheaper than originally planned. Well big mistake! On Sunday the movers arrived and took 5 minutes to walk through my home to tell me that my 1500 cubic feet was now 2400 cubic feet and my move went from costing $5200 to $9800! His excuse is 'its only an estimate' and the movers determine the cubic feet when they arrive to your home. I sent them home and they refused to leave for almost 3 hours trying to nickel and dime me to agree to allow them to move a fraction of my stuff until I finally lost it and forced them to leave before I called the police. If you are moving, something I learned. CALL A PRIVATE MOVING COMPANY!!! These scam artists are brokers and there is all sorts of shady stuff going on here. They anticipate every move to be way more than the quote, so they get you on move day, hoping you will just give in and allow them to move your stuff. Send them home and trust me you will find someone else as I did almost immediately and actually moved for over a $1000 less than my original quote from Keysone moving group and got all of my stuff in the truck with no worries about the cubic feet of space that I used which is their scam to get more money out of you. Take my advice and STAY AWAY!!
After two local moving companies failed to follow-up with us on our move, we contacted Keystone, a moving broker. I was impressed by their ability to complete a furniture and other item inventory over the phone, and to quickly provide a moving estimate based on the calculated volume of our belongings. They kept us informed of when to expect the movers, and followed up after the delivery to check if the move went well. Of course, the quality of who will actually load and unload the moving truck is different than Keystone who simply coordinates the mover and the customer (but we were also well-pleased with the movers they did arrange for us). Overall, I'd recommend Keystone for their professional attitude, and I felt like they cared about making our move less stressful and a success for us.
DO NOT TRUST THEM!! This company purposely gave us an inaccurate quote. So here’s the scheme. They’ll give you a cheap quote no matter how many items you tell them you’re moving. Once you accept their quote they’ll instantly need a deposit which is usually half of the quote ( the other half is due upon delivery) the catch is once the movers arrive your initial quote will be about 3-4K lower than your actual TOTAL moving cost. Once the shock of the cost increase wears off you have two options. 1) pay the inflated price 2) cancel the move and lose your deposit. Be warned they don’t care after they get your money for the deposit and your move will cost thousands more than the quote I REPORTED THEM TO THE BBB
“Amber” withdrew funds from my account and openly admitted to doing so without me signing a revised quote. They under declared items purposely, several times even after “Amber” performed a “quality assurance” check of the inventory. “Jerry” waived the stair fee in writing, yet we were charged. All calls are recorded, yet the quote was completely incorrect! All calls are recorded, yet they refuse to accept accountability. “the owner - Mike” assured me that he’d call me back on a Friday- it wasn’t until I psycho dialed them on SUNDAY - that I got someone on the phone. “Mike” and “Amber” were totally unprofessional and condescending and verbally berating- and hung up on me. “Samantha” handles all refunds, yet cannot make decisions without the office being open - but having all details - “Brittany” assures you that she will add extra boxes to over estimate the move to prevent you from having extra charges, yet doesn’t. “Jerry” said he’d waive the stair charge fee but I was still charged. Keystone is a brokerage company that farms the move out to other moving companies. We were told the move would take place between 5-7 days and it happened within 72 hours. The department of transportation doesn’t even allow for registered drivers to drive more than 500 miles per day. How this doesn’t violate laws and regulations is mind blowing. I’m contacting an attorney. I’m a small business owner and what they did was completely unethical. We called them regarding the discrepancy - and they kept saying they’d call us back and never did. In turn either you forfeit the deposit (ours was $1100) oooooor allow the movers (who truly are removed from the transaction until the actual move takes place) to move- and just try to handle it on the back end. Crooked, unethical, unprofessional, and pathetic.
Be aware, they are SCAMMERS!!! Worst moving experience ever? I was quoted a price upfront and it ended up being three times as much! The movers that were supposed to pack my belongings were friendly at first, but as the day went on, they became very rude and we're pretty much over it. They packed random stuff in random boxes. Used the big expensive boxes for my clothes instead of my kitchen items and still made me pay the higher price for it. As the day went on, they started asking if they really need to pack that or if they can just throw it away. Also, they didn't take stuff out of the drawers in the kitchen and bathroom and I had to be on top that everything got packed. The packing was horrible! The worst was when they told me the increased price! And they expected me to have around $4,500 in cash for the second payment of the move. I didn't have that since I expected it to be under $2,000. So they were threatened me to keep my stuff. And they wouldn't take a check either.
This was all bad, but when I received my household items later, so much was broken!! My dresser, several picture frames, shoes, and other things. One box was completely lost or stolen during the move.
I contacted customer service several times, but have not received any response!
DO NOT USE!!!
