Things to consider before renting space from Cubby mini storage. 1) Extremely difficult to drive a full sized truck through the tight maze of storage units. Notice most chain linked fencing is leaning dramatically to exterior b/c of the over maximization of buildings on this small lot. 2) There is no employee “onsite” presence ever. Disclosure, they do have a local on call laborer that cleans out spaces on vacant units. 3) No bathroom. 4) no trash container. THE KICKER. In my case I was charged $150. (cleaning deposit) for two small (shoebox sized) boxes placed in my unit after giving a two week notice of my departure. They responded end of month May 2023. 5) Finally, anything stored here will exposed to a large volume of silt/sand which will cover everything in your unit. I paid on time, every time for two plus years. Approximately $2500. Experienced three price increases over this time. And because I have an affluent out of state address. Cubby’s greed empowered them to “super-size” profit by adding a $150. exiting premium. Using a picture of a couple tiny boxes as justification for a cleaning charge. Not an ethical business approach in my opinion. Think twice before doing business with Cubby Mini Storage, a Colorado based business.

After reading the owners response to my review. Feel free to contact me via messenger. I can forward the picture sent to me by cubby mini storage. It is literally two small boxes. There is no onsite manager to check out with. There is no place to deposit trash. It’s all about minimizing costs and maximizing profit here. As evidenced by the two week lack of response after moving out, and then a $150.00 charge for a couple shoe boxes.
One can tell by his descriptive narrative. He is COMPENSATING, JUSTIFYING for his lame add on charges.

We stored with Cubby in Kirtland for more than six years. During that time, we always found the staff to be friendly and efficient. This held especially true during our recent move of the storage contents to another state. First Angela, then Desiree, and finally, Cole, the site manager, all played a role in helping us to have a successful rollout. Cole, in particular, met us to ensure that we could ably manage the large truck and trailer that we had hired for the move. This is a five-star operation; one we highly recommend!
