It’s taken 10 months to write this review. Prior to
May 3, 2024 my unit at KO Storage of Willmar was broken into. The loss of family heirlooms, work equipment, valuable personal items, Christmas decore, 1/2 pallet resale children’s clothing. A family Pittsburgh Reverse Painted lamp heirlooms that cannot be replaced! still to this day, I find myself missing useful items. I’m heart broken.
Please Note: while it’s true KO “have security
cameras “ not throughout the facility. And if you plan on filing a claim receipts must be provided.
The claims process is designed to discourage
a claim. If you rent from KO 1. Have a separate insurance policy-even though I was denied that opportunity.I had to use KO’s policy. 2. Get a supplemental policy’s . Don’t let KO tell you cannot. 3. Take photos, be prepared to hire an attorney for attempting to collect claims. 4. all claim items must have receipts. This company may be within the confines of the law but ethically and morally they are self serving only. I had my life turned upside down. The loss beyond word or money. The pain of my loss complicated by red tape claim process. a cumbersome process that only compounded the pain. These people are not your friends. My Advice: RUN! Don’t rent there unless you can afford to lose everything valuable to you. Very very painful experience.
