I had been communicating with Doug, the owner, and his new office assistant. Both were very responsive and very easy to work with. Doug always got back to me with any questions and always closed with... 'don't worry, I will take care of you.' I am glad I listened to him because he did. His team of movers showed up on time and got right to it. All were extremely polite and very hard workers. I think the move ended up taking quite a bit longer than the crew anticipated as I didn't prep as well for move day as I should have, but they never missed a beat. Other than a brief lunch break they worked hard all day. I never felt any of them were dogging it or cutting corners. Furniture going to temporary storage was wrapped as was furniture going into the apartment. Doug even showed up early to check-in on how things were going and helped out for several hours. At the end of the day Doug returned again to see how things were coming and help wrap things up as we got all of our belongings in our apartment and storage garage. As we all know moving is very stressful and the unknown of working with a company that is new to you can add to that. I appreciated that I never felt nickel and dimed by Legacy Moving and they worked with me to come up with ways to further reduce costs unlike the 'Big Box' movers. The quotes from the big guys included charges of several hundred dollars to box flat screen televisions where Doug didn't have those ridiculous charges. Now that we are settled in the apartment I can now look back and appreciate how much Doug and his crew really did make this process easy for me. It is an absolute no-brainer that I will be hiring Legacy Moving again in a few months when our new house is ready.
