I live out of state, and when my father suddenly became ill and moved into long-term care, I had to handle selling his home. My dad is still quite young and so am I, so I did not have anyone in my immediate circle who had gone through a similar experience. I felt like I was stumbling through the dark trying to figure out how to take on my dad's affairs so suddenly and from a distance. I searched for 'senior moving services' and found Lighthouse Group. I used nearly all of their services, from move management to selling the house; I only traveled there once by choice, but they could have managed it all remotely.

This was also my first time selling a home, and Alison and her team were invaluable, kind, and patient with my questions. Beyond the sale, Alison connected me with community resources and was one of the few who truly understood the complexities of taking over a parent's affairs. As a former social worker, I appreciated Lighthouse’s roots in social work, and I doubt a regular real estate team could have guided me through this particular circumstance so gracefully.
