Doug and his team were great to work with for our recent move. This is the second time we have used L&L. They not only are quick and efficient, but also handle our items with care. Thank you Doug and team!

About 3/4 through the move Doug informs me that he only takes cash! I said I don’t keep that kind of cash on me I’ll have to go to an ATM. He says you can’t get that kind of cash from an atm so you’ll have to go to the bank. Where’s your bank? I said the nearest branch is all the way in Morristown. My move was from Rockaway to Wharton so he now tells me to go to Morristown to get the cash! Gotta be honest - nothing shadier than a guy that demanding on the cash!

So given im a single mom and I’m alone in this thing, I go to the bank and meet him back at the drop off complex.

When he was done I said what’s the final total? He says $2800. I asked him why because I donated half the furniture that was included in the original quote! (Removing 2 bedroom sets and 3 couches from the total move) He said because of all the little stuff I had too much! I asked if that includes gratuity given his quote was $2300-$2600 and he said gratuity is never included. I reiterated that this wiped me out because I didn’t plan on paying cash and have not made any payments like this in cash! He told me I needed to let him know in advance if I wanted to use a credit card! I told him that’s not typical but whatever ans literally told him how ridiculous this is. He shrugged and took the cash.

We have used L&L over the past 10 years, and every move has been exceptional. Doug is wonderful to work with, always on time and he and his team are real pros. Highly recommend.
