Local Moves

These guys have been very professional and understanding with all my health issues. They worked with us when most wouldn't. The are very honest and respectful. I highly recommend them. Our one house is 6,000 square feet we are moving things out for remodel. Their prices are beyond fair. MJ John

Movers were very professional. Cost was lower than most moving companies. I would absolutely use them again.

Used Local Moves in Lapeer. They were referred by a family member plus they had good reviews so I was happy to hire them. Had issues from start to finish. Spoke with owner Scott repeatedly during the move but got the blame game and comments that he was 'losing money on this job' due to unplanned expenses racked up by his driver (he kept driving on the snow covered lawn instead of the driveway, getting stuck several times and having to call a tow truck). 2nd staff person sat in the truck cab on his phone while my son and the driver spent hours trying to dig the truck out of the snow. Took 3 days to move less than 30 miles because driver was frustrated and kept leaving. They tried to make it right by sending the driver back on a Sunday to finish the move ( how was one person going to unload a truck load of furniture?) My son ended up helping unload the truck and found several item were damaged including damage to the driveway and pieces of wood and debris left behind for us to clean up. When all was said and done the owner charged an additional $300 over the quoted price! When I reached out yet again to the owner to vent my frustration, he said there was nothing more he could have done to accommodate me. Saddened and frustrated by this but you live and learn. Won't use this company again and won't refer them to anyone else. If you need a moving company, learn from our experience. Look at all options and think long and hard before using this company.
