My son needed an emergency move this weekend. Cordel has helped me move in the past and was great, so I got in touch with him yesterday evening. He quoted me a fair price and was there this morning to help move. I appreciate him going above and beyond to help us on such short notice. Thanks again, Cordel!

Cordell is really nice until you show you are not interested. Cordell insisted on coming to see my office so he could give me a fair quote. I told him I had other quotes on the table and that if he wasn’t going to be competitive then to not waste his time. He said he wanted to come anyways.. I thought great our offices are not too far apart.. so fine. Well he came.. I’m pretty sure he was high, he moved super slow, and we did a 15 min walk through. Then he quoted me a higher price than the other companies I spoke with. I told him I wanted to think about it and get back to him in an hour. He proceeded to tell me I owed him $100 for the walk through..?? I paid him just to get rid of him. Another weird thing is he had me pay his personal Venmo.. businesses are supposed to operate under business accounts.. I got no receipt or anything, as far as I’m aware this company may just be a front for Cordell to scam people.. probably not but seriously if you want to shop around don’t involve this company with your quotes, they’ll charge you for it.. if you want to be ayes man and have one place take care of you I’m sure Cordell would have been very nice charging me a premium.

Good news, Cordell got his radiator fixed and showed up to look at the job I was asking of him. We walked through it and then he gave me a quote. I told him I wanted to think about it and he said 'I charge for time to come out, I said that on the phone.'.... I didn't remember him telling me that but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and said oh... ok how much do you want? He then said he wanted $100.00 for his time to come out and give me a quote... my office is literally 10 minutes away from there office listed here and I have never heard of someone charging that much for a walk through/quote.. He said it would count towards my job cost but at that point I was so upset I decided to just pay him his $100 for a total of a 15 minute walk through... Not a good experience, seem like he is in for as much as he can get.

Never ever ever use Lyons Services. I had a moving job booked with 75% deposit paid upfront. They cancelled 30 minutes before due to a blown radiator. I was understanding, and we rescheduled for the next day at 1:30 or 2pm, with the clear commitment that they needed to be finished by 4pm because I had Airbnb guests checking in. At 1:15 the next day he told me he was 45 minutes away. When I called again at 2:15 to see where he was, he told me he was an hour away due to “traffic”. When I said that wouldn’t be enough time to reliably complete the job, he tried to fight back and told me that he had to do it today. I asked for a refund of my deposit and was told no, and eventually told that they would return half. I’m not one to write bad reviews online and quite frankly I’ve never before had such a bad experience with professionals in Utah. But given how adversarial Cordell was and how he is insisting on keeping my money (and blaming it on the “owner”) I feel I have no choice but to warn people.

Just used Lyons for a small move of some furniture after a death in my family. I received an email within minutes of requesting the quote. Spoke with Cordel and decided it was easiest for him to come look at what I was moving. He met me there, gave a fair quote and moved my stuff the next morning. Very friendly, personable, and professional. I'll definitely come back if I'm every in need of any of their services.
