Major Moving

I scheduled another outfit to perform our local move in Northern Virginia. I waited at my storage facility for an hour past the appointed time, but they didn’t show up. I called Matt and he gave me a good price, and promised to send his team at the end of their day, salvaging my plan to move. I changed my plans, and kept working all day to be ready for Matt’s guys to show up. Around 4:30, I texted Matt to check on his guys. It turned out the Matt’s team had suffered a flat tire on their truck, and they still had an offload to do. I figured that I was going to be out of luck twice in one day, but Matt promised me that his guys would come. Around 6:45 German (Matt’s team leader) texted me that they were on their way. We met at my storage facility, and I briefed them on our move. It involved emptying our storage unit, dropping two pieces in a smaller unit at the same facility, then going to our recently sold home and picking up more furniture, and finally dropping it all at our new house. German, and his crew attacked the job with enthusiasm. They are a super group of guys, who did a fantastic job, in spite of working until 10:40 pm, and still having a 1-1/2 hour drive back to Sterling. I can’t really say enough kind words about all of these guys. They are super strong, very positive, and extremely hard working. My day from hell turned out ok due to Matt, German, and his team. Thanks again, Matt.

They are excellent. We moved from a large house to an apartment, so there were more boxes than furniture. Fernando and a another guy worked fast and efficient. They didn’t stretch out the time, so the costs remained reasonable. And Nothing was damaged. They had to store everything for about 10 days. So they loaded and unloaded 2 times. Again, nothing was broken or damaged. Runners were put down on the floor to prevent any dirt or scratches from the hand truck. They also helped me setup the king bed. I definitely recommend them and plan to use Major Moving the next time I need moving services.

Fernando, Angel and Alexandra(name?) removed a very large and heavy bedroom set for a couple who bought it from me. I would recommend them highly as they were efficient, respectful, professional and pleasant. They protected every area of carpet and wrapped and secured every piece of the set so nothing would get damaged. I wish I had used them for my recent move!!!

I was under a black cloud, anything that could go wrong did go wrong. four movers cancelled on me and one on the day of the move 8/7/21. Everybody's excuse for cancelling and extremely high prices was it's the peak of the season, I called Matt and I was beyond stressed and Matt came to my house to give an on site estimate. He was very nice, responded immediately and gave me a good estimate. At one point Matt said you don't trust me and I said I don't trust anybody after what I've been through. Adam sh owed up the day of the new move 8/20/21 Adam and Matt (Major Moving) did the move to there time wrapped everything and handle it with care. They went over quoted time and still honored the quote. I was so tainted from being burned by other Companies that I wasn't the easiest customer to work with but Matt and Adam were great.
I normally don't write reviews and I am late getting to this one but everybody at Major Moving was awesome from Michelle in the office to Matt who gave estimate and moved me to Adam who also moved me.
If you are looking for a good honest company who will take care of you and your stuff, Major Moving is it.

We had bought a used leather couch and recliners needing pick up and delivery. Major movers did such a great job. The seller mentioned he was impressed with their professionalism and care taken. The couch was padded and wrapped to ensure no damage. It is a very large heavy piece. They helped us situate it and set up the room. They also disposed of the existing furniture making us comfortable and happy with their services. We will be using them for our upcoming move.
