Martian Movers

Very bad experience on the back end of the move. I moved out of town and was told I would have 5 'top team' members there to handle my expensive and delicate fragiles. Only 4 showed up and with a truck too small to fit everything into. We ended up having to shove things into our car and RV trailer and leave things behind despite the representative having taken a full inventory of my belongings prior.

Upon arrival in the destination town (2.5hrs away) there were only 2 workers. They made me pay them in full when they arrived BEFORE the job was complete...now I know WHY. There were 2 young completely exhausted from having been working the previous day until 9pm 2.5 hours away the night before. ONLY 2 movers when I was promised 5 o both ends of the move and they were anything but careful. Multiple items were broken, unprofessional, hurried and careless. The beds were not put together and instead, the pieces pushed up against each other to look as if the bed was assembled and when I sat on it, it collapsed. They staged to look assembled, but was not at all. Multiple parts were missing from beds like bolts, even a footboard...gone..missing for good. Had to buy an entire new bedframe. Broke our wood shelf cabinet, side table, bed, blown glass lamp, coffee table leg and MORE. I caught them having laid a lamp they had broken aside out of sight to avoid me seeing it instead of acknowledging it.

I've never left a bad online review. I don't like the idea of saying anything negative online about businesses, but BUYER BEWARE! I felt responsible to leave this review to warn others.

I have nothing but good things to say. They were quick with an estimate and had very competitive prices. The movers were great! On-time, friendly, and careful. They took better care of my furniture than the previous movers did, even around the tricky corners with the long couch. They set it up just the way I wanted when we got to my house. And G had the best music playlist! I want a copy please!

I had a wonderful experience with Martian Movers. They were polite and very careful with my belongings.

Martian Movers, helped my family make their move into their new home after a week long delay with the escrow, before the place was finally sold to my parents in Santa Maria, CA after having to move from Ventura County.

Martian Movers were quick and professional and since the stuff was already prepacked by the previous movers, beforehand and my parents stuff was stored away temporarily in a public storage in Santa Maria, as they ran into a delay with the escrow as they were originally supposed to move in their home the week prior, but there were issues on the sellers part, which caused the escrow to be delayed.

Fortunately the issues with the escrow were resolved and my parents got the keys to the place and thanks to Martian Movers the move was a smooth and painless process, which lasted less than 5 hours and got everything set up in my parents new place and the movers were friendly and courteous and gave great tips for good Mexican Seafood Restaurants such as Mariscos Ensenada in Santa Maria. Plus I loved their hoodies and asked them if they were available for purchase for the public or were just staff only uniforms? They told me to talk to their boss in their offices and the next time I am in Santa Maria I will buy a hoodie for my partner and myself!
