It has been about two months since Maryland Movers handled my move from Towson, MD to Frederick, MD. As a solo senior woman, I felt somewhat vulnerable leaving my home of 44 years, and worked with organizer Amy Porter and Realtor Kim Barton to declutter and downsize somewhat prior to moving. Amy recommended that I speak with Gai at Maryland Movers before finalizing my moving plan. I did and was I grateful that I did! Prior to the move, Gai surveyed the house in Towson, told me exactly what to expect, and gave me an estimate that was well within my budget. That was only the beginning.

On the actual day of the move, Luis and 3 other men arrived on time with their big truck and moving supplies. I was so impressed with the care and consideration these guys gave my belongings and space. They were incredible....and they were extremely efficient. They worked diligently to pack, even including a pottery studio and a giant house plant/tree put on the truck at the end. At the end of the one hour trip to Frederick, they were equally diligent, fast, efficient and respectful as they unwrapped, unpacked and placed my possessions, furniture, clothing and more. Those men deserved more than the modest tip I gave them. They put in a full 13 hour day, and were as professional and cordial at the end of it as at the beginning. I cannot recommend them highly enough. NOTHING was damaged, broken or lost. They were fantastic! My advice is to call them first and save time and aggravation with other movers. I recommend them without reservation to everyone I know who is planning a move.

What an absolute heartbreaking experience. The men were kind, the quality of the furniture we received was a horrible sight. Shattered glass they won’t admit was done by them, even attempted to blame a security company who wasn’t even here the same day... cut me and my dog, thank goodness our new neighbor is a nurse.
The move from MD to NC should not have ended with thousands of dollars of ruined furniture, artwork and keep sakes. Boxes of indoor things left outdoor during a rainstorm, completely ruined. Absolutely heartbroken and the lack of responsiveness when trying to deal with the claims has been one of the most unprofessional experiences of my moving history! I’ve done cross country moves, had my belongings and vehicles built into the truck which have been incredible. And charging our credit card without authorization during a dispute is terrible. I hope no family goes through this with a mover, we went with Maryland Movers off of gut feeling. Boy were we wrong! As a business owner ourselves I would be absolutely mortified if anyone had this experience with my colleagues or myself!

Great crew, super professional, the team worked very hard, and the management was very responsive. They made our move so much easier.
