Mashav Relocation

Do NOT hire. We had a crew from Mashav report at 8am for our scheduled move (it was scheduled for 4-5 hours). Because of rain the crew said they could not do the job. We were surprised they had us prepare, called us that morning to confirm, and then came to our home just to tell us they couldn’t do the move. We called Mashav and luckily we were rescheduled for the afternoon. The second crew arrived at noon. We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom apartment. IT TOOK UNTIL 10PM AT NIGHT. It was the slowest crew I have ever seen. We paid by the hour so it was well over $2000 plus the additional money owed to the apartment building we moved into because we were so far over our allotted moving time. Today we realized the dining table and crib were incorrectly assembled so we need to take them apart. I’ve moved 6 times. This was a nightmare. Go anywhere else.

1 Star is too much; first, this company quoted me a price when I went to sign the contract; it was not the original price in the email quote.

The rep, Karen, said they had the wrong address even though I sent them my address early on during the conversations. Karen called me for weeks almost daily, asking about the move trying to get the job. After checking the reviews and the original quote ( even though it was higher than other local movers, I decided to give Mashav Relocation the job. What a mistake that was. I did not expect them to change the cost of the move substantially after I added a few lightweight containers before I paid the deposit. Fortunately, I have the email time-stamped. Karen was aware of the few items I added. Nevertheless, she said nothing about the price increase.

BTW, I refuse to pay over $700.00 for a 3 1/2 hour move. I am wrapping my belongings and only moving a couch, poster bed, queen mattress, small curio, two plant stands, a TV, two very small bookcases, and 50 small to mid-size plastic storage bins. Most weigh less than ten pounds because I don't want heavy, fragile items to move on a hand truck (elevator access to eight stairs involved).

What this company does is inflate the price after you make the deposit. What a stupid lie about the address.

Even after I canceled and Karen agreed to cancel the transaction, 5 minutes later, Karen sends me a confirmation to electronically sign the contract that I canceled. I'm not surprised by the price increase for added containers; however, I wouldn't say I liked the addition. I was offended by the unprofessionalism and dishonesty: what a liar and scam artist. Do not use this company. BEWARE!!!

Very professional. These movers know what they are doing. There is no messing around wasting time. Very punctual. Would definitely hire again.
