We paid this company over $7700 dollars to move us with a total estimate of roughly $20,000. Less than 24 hours from the expected move date, we were told that our move would cost $30-50k. When we told them we wish to cancel service and requested a refund, they told us we would need to hire an attorney to recover our money. This is in conflict with the contract we were sent stating 'RESCHEDULING / CANCEL OF SERVICE : Estimates may be cancelled and deposits are fully refundable if the customer cancels the estimate/order before to to the scheduled date of pickup.' This place also required us to sign an incomplete bill of lading, which is against FMCSA regulations, and required a transfer by wire of funds, when the contract states 'SECTION 2: Form of Payment: Upon booking a 30% deposit is required to be paid in the form of credit card (Visa, Mastercard), cash, or cashier's check.' This company should be investigated for fraud.

They crew came right on time, moved stuff very quickly but also carefully, and then unloaded at the storage unit in under .The entire process was easy. Very satisfied customer Service!
Customers beware. This company will NOT take good care of your items, will not communicate well or give you accurate delivery timelines. My family paid these movers $13k to move us from WA to PA. They told us 6 weeks. It took 9 weeks and there was terrible communication about when it was coming. Once we finally did receive our stuff I found several broken pieces of furniture, smashed boxes with broken items inside and they lost all together my husbands desk. I have been trying to get this issues resolved in some sort of refund and I just now received and email from them saying the moving is over and to stop emailing them. They have broken their contract to compensate for lost and damaged items. We also paid them for a full service move which we did not get. None of the bed frames were assembled or even put into the correct room. Dressers put into the garage. Customer beware. I’m honestly surprised we actually received most of of items to be honest. You’ve been warned. DO NOT BOOK THESE MOVERS!
2024 UPDATE: I’d like to comment regarding MD Transportation Group’s recent response in Aug 2024. We moved in 2021, they responded in 2024. This is the perfect example of the kind of delayed and horrible communication from this company. Yes, I can confirm we did book through a broker who misled us to believe they were actually a moving company. That’s a separate issue I have already addressed with them. Once they connected me to your company, it was YOUR representatives who gave me the delivery date and YOUR group who I spoke with to pay and sign a contract with. The broker had nothing to do with any of that. All of my issues came after I made the large down payment to MD Transportation. After that payment was made and my items were picked up, it took weeks and hours of frustration to communicate with MD Transportation on status. At one point your company could not even locate where our items were after the delivery date came and went. When we finally did receive our items, weeks after the agreed upon date, there were broken pieces of furniture and items thrown into the garage that should have been brought upstairs. After reaching out to inquire how I could be compensated for items broken while in your care, I was sent an email in all caps stating our move is over and to stop contacting you. Even though I had a contract that stated we paid for a full service move that would place items in the correct rooms and how to handle compensation for broken items. In all honesty, I’m shocked we received any of our items. When delivery showed up, boxes were smashed and wet. My husband’s desk was never delivered as well as several of our boxes. We also received boxes that did not belong to us. No one at your company cared at all or responded to my inquiries. For my own sanity, I stopped communicating and tried to moved past it. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I feel so strongly about it, that I had to respond to your comment several years later. I will never recommend MD Transportation Group to anyone. Period.
