An absolutely awesome experience!!! Mr. Medrano and his team turned a very stressful move into a great experience. These men went above and beyond to move me quite a distance away. They took great care of me and my things. They worked tirelessly on both sides of the move. I would highly recommend this team for your move however big or small! Thanks again guys for such a great Job!!! Renee' DiOrio
The owner saved my butt. We purchased a used hutch on a whim. We got back to the house with it, got it off the truck... And it was way too heavy for my wife and I. We panicked since we do not know anyone in the area. We called men on the move, and the owner came out himself within 30 minutes. Honestly, I don't know what this hutch is made of, but he and I were barely able to get it inside and upstairs together. He was very kind and patient. I can't recommend this company enough!
From first contacting Mr. Medrano to receiving information up to the day of the move - everything was professional and with courteous, prompt responses! The workers completed the job on record time! The workers were very friendly, light-hearted, and very nice gentlemen that we all enjoyed talking to. The quality of care shown in packing and moving our items was top-notch! Mr. Medrano is a very kind, respectful, caring gentleman which shows through his organized clean truck to the respect he gave, to not only us as customers today, but to his workers.
I can't say thank you enough Mr. Medrano!
It was a pleasure meeting you!
*****Realtors: You need to recommend Men on The Move!*****
I do not like to give bad reviews.
We had a large quantity of household items to put in a 26' Uhaul to move from the east coast to a storage unit in the mountain west. Men on the Move said they were sending 5 people and quoted 5 men for two hours at $600 to pack us into the truck. The owner also stated the cost for the 5 men was $150 for every hour after the initial two hours.
What we got was ONLY ONE PERSON who seemed to know what he was doing and four who stood around scrolling on their phones or waiting to get direction from the one leader. We had plenty of packing materials that could have been used to pack delicate items, while the other people could have been moving items out of the storage unit and putting them into categories for packing into the truck.
The four young men had not been trained in moving or packing and mostly WAITED TO GET DIRECTION. They did not use their own initiative to get items wrapped, packed, organized or distributed BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I don't think they were at all lazy or unwilling, they had no direction.
We had been quoted one price for the five people for two hours and an additional charge for each additional hour. When it came time to pay, the additional charge became at each additional HALF-HOUR. There was a TRAVEL CHARGE that was never mentioned. We disputed the final bill, and ended up paying $200 less because nothing had been written down and our understanding was significantly different from the original discussion with the owner.
I've learned a lesson. Do not enter into an agreement for services without a contract that states hours to be worked, prices to be paid and any additional charges that may be included in the final bill.
When we arrived at our destination, the other moving crew we used began the clock when they arrived at the job. No travel time was charged. We did have a contract with them and we gave them a gratuity after their work for being incredibly organized, knowledgeable, prompt and literally never ceasing to move during the entire process. Each person knew what was expected and they worked together seamlessly.
I was pretty disappointed in Men on the Move, and would not recommend this crew as they function now. I do not write this review for any other reason than to encourage anyone using them to get everything in contract form and be sure the crew they get is properly supervised.
