Spencer came to my house and expertly and lovingly tuned my 1890s Chickering Brothers upright piano. I've had this piano for about 4 years and in that time, I've had two tunings done by other people, however, the previous tuners did not bring the piano up to pitch. Clearly this was because of the issue of a possible strings breaking. However, Spencer and I discussed this in full and we decided to take a chance and see what this beautiful piano could do. Spencer tuned the piano twice in the time period that he was at my home. Additionally, he adjusted the action on my keyboard. Furthermore, He adjusted the sustaining pedal so that it actually The result? A perfectly tuned beautiful piano restored and lovingly placed back into my care. This piano and I, it became Kindred Spirits in 2020. But due to the lack of tuning to pitch over the last 2 years, I let the piano slowly slip even further out of tune. I was concerned that this beautiful antique was nothing more than a piece of furniture. However, nothing could be further from the truth!. My piano is tuned beautifully and my hands love the feel of the keys below my fingertips. Thank you, Spencer!

I’m so grateful that I located Spencer to repair my grandmother’s 1937 Steinway action which had, over the years developed verdigris, rendering it unplayable as the hammers would not drop. I live in San Francisco about 90 minutes away from Spencer, and we agreed that I should bring the action up to him and after a mere three days, he completely rehabbed the action and now it’s playing as it hasn’t played in 20 years. I recently had the pleasure to meet Spencer Brewer and also have him work on my Steinway Grand piano. Spencer was on time and conducted himself in a very professional manner. He was very pleasant. he discovered for me the year my piano was built, that was 1939. My grand has been my lifesaver since 1996. She is my love. Spencer restored my grand and she plays easily and her tone is beautiful. What a gift. He also played some of his music.
