Meta Van Lines

Moving from Chicago to Ohio seemed overwhelming, but Meta Van Lines made it feel effortless. They updated me throughout the trip, and everything arrived on schedule and intact.

Most horrible company ever. Brought wrong manifest came at 2 pm with a 19 year old that could not speak English and a n older gentleman who was also not very good at explanation. He hand rewrote the manifest took two days to pack up my stuff took things they were told not to left things they were not supposed to charges 5 percent to pay with a credit card. My manifest was practically illegible and price was 3 times higher that Allegiance who is a broker gave me. Please NEVER WORK WITH ALLEGIANCE OR THIS COMPANY

Edit: nothing I said was incorrect. The pod was disclosed pre move and non of the gym equipment was commercial. I helped disassemble the gym equipment so your team did not scratch the stuff using channel locks to undo bolts which was the incorrect tool. They also took my rogue rack apart when I wasn’t even there so I don’t know how I did it. They did send a handyman to put the bunk back together but that was the broker not Meta. Took the poor guy 7 hours because they lost screws and bolts (that I had to go buy and replace) during the move from poor packaging. I’ve attached some of their packing photos just to show how poorly it was done. I could take so many more but it’s not worth my time.

Absolute worst move I’ve ever had and I’ve done 8 (6 cross country). Packers showed up with a crew of 4 to full pack a 3,000 square foot house and full three car garage. Not only did it take them forever but they carelessly packed some very expensive items in with chemicals that ruined the items after I was very specific on what needed to be packed separately. Then there was the matter of the quote which changed 3 different times to the tune of over $10,000. The final one at 11:30 pm after being there since 8 am. They packed the truck so poorly most of the boxes were crushed or damaged. To add insult to injury it was supposed to be a full pack move and what was taken apart was supposed to be put back together at the new location. They would not and did not assemble any of the items they took apart. If I could give a negative star I would. Avoid this company if you have a lot of stuff and a long distance move.
