Edit: Items were recieved July 10th. I planned to edit my review. However to add insult to injury. My play station bag was broken during transit. I recieved an email to change my password while my items were in transit.

Review:
The weirdest experience I've had with any company ever. Was rushed to pick up my items, so that they could get them to me close to the date requested, which was june 26th.

June 20th they gave the best customer service to get my items. I contacted them june 26th inquiring about when. I did know it wouldn't be a specific date, but as of July 3rd my items are just now in transit, and won't be arriving until maybe...July 9th. The driver only called me as a courtesy because I begged for an update a few times, and at this point they knew they were no longer in control of my items. I've had to cancel my flight for today, for a trip to get my daughter to bring her to our new home, and still won't get them.

The responses are horrible, 'let me check, I'll let you know', then nothing. They have no idea when they can ship. There is no certainty of anything. If I ever get my items, maybe I will feel differently about this experience. I really thought this would be as easy as they made it seem. If you have a month to wait, work with them. They were nice in the beginning, so I'm assuming they just couldn't do what they said for me. At least now I know when shipping something, don't expect or try to do anything on a schedule, or maybe at all. We'll see.

What can I say? This company was absolutely the best moving company I have ever used. My family and I did a long distance move from Schaumburg Illinois to Dallas Texas. Their rates were unbelievably affordable compared to all of the other long distance movers. We moved a 3 bedroom house with all the furnishings, roughly 125 medium sized boxes, an upright freezer, 2 large barbecue grills and an oversized meat smoker all for under $5k. All the big brand name movers wanted over $14k for the same sized move. Meta was professional, courteous, on time, and very careful when disassembling and packing my belongings. Not only that, they were actually able to squeeze us in 5 days ahead of schedule. Maria in customer service was a pleasure and reassured me that I was in good hands. This was my first cross country move, so of course I was a little nervous. It wasn’t known to me at the time, but Maria’s husband was the foreman of the 4 man crew that loaded us up in Schaumburg. He went above and beyond for my wife and I. Him and his crew were the best. I was so impressed that I was kind of hoping they’d be the crew making the trip to Dallas to unload us. That was not to be, however Elay, the driver that brought our stuff down was an absolute beast. The crew on the Dallas end didn’t show up. But did Elay complain? No he didn’t… He manned up, and powered through this move into our new house for the most part on his own. I had to help with some of the bigger items like the king sized mattresses but other than that, this guy was amazing and never complained once. Would I hire this company again? ABSOLUTELY!!!! Even with 75% of the unloading crew missing, this company handled my move better and faster than some of the big boys in the moving industry. I highly recommend Meta Van Lines for your long distance move.
