Metcalf Moving & Storage

I’ve been through a delivery and pickup with Metcalf and both crews have been the most professional, professional movers I’ve encountered. Good communication and thoughtful/careful with my stuff (“this floor looks dirty so I’m not going to set this down here”, carefully and securely wrapping moving blankets, etc.). I haven’t had my delivery yet so can’t vouch that my things have arrived safely, but I’m not stressing about it in the meantime because of the positive interactions so far.

Edited to update: the delivery person changed plans on me with less than 24 hours notice. If you’re ok with a 6 day delivery window and the expectation from the company that they can reschedule at any time with any amount of notice, this service would be ok for you. I probably won’t be giving them repeat business after this.

Very nice team but didn't go as smoothly as we had hoped. First, they included a piano move in their estimate but when they were here to do the moving said they didn't have capabilities and needed to hire a piano mover (added time and $ and now actually more expensive than the estimates I received from others). Then when we were getting our items back from storage they had lost the pieces for U-line storage shelves that they had taken apart. We could file a claim but that added a hassle because we had to figure out which parts to order, wait for their delivery before we can ourselves put the unit together and finally unpack the items that go on those shelves. Things like this can happen so I don't want to be too hard, but we really didn't need this hassle.

Every person I dealt with from the receptionist to the movers to my moving coordinator was professional and kind. Moving across country is never easy but Metcalf made it go perfectly. I can’t say enough good things about them!
