Metro Moving & Storage

I really wanted to like this company, I really enjoyed working with the staff until the actual move. In the beginning everyone was helpful and I especially appreciated Steve, who was my contact.
It was all bad from the day I received our furniture to our new home (out of state). There were two men unpacking the truck and moving our furniture and boxes into the house. The one man didn’t speak much at all, the other man complained with every box.
The boxes were torn, badly torn, up arrows were disregarded, boxes were not placed in the room marked on the box, many pieces of furniture were damaged, and one box was dropped down the stairs - the mover didn’t even ask how the contents were (they we not good). And many walls were damaged during the move, damaged in our brand new home!
Needless to say I contacted Steve, and asked how to fill out a damage report and submit a claim for the many items that were damaged. I submitted my claim on May 11, 2021, I included pictures of everything and I valued the items very conservatively. I followed up at the beginning of June, and had to resubmit the form. I followed up in the middle of June without response, and now we are at the end of June and I have no idea what the claim status is.
The move cost me $10k plus storage at $518 a month for 10 months. I am seeking damages in the amount of $3k. I wish I could share the pictures of everything to show the public just how bad my items were delivered!
