Midgard Self Storage

Great rate!

Total ripoff. They have raised our rates every year. They charged us a $60 late fee when our credit card expired even though they didn't notify us and we immediately paid the bill. They also charge $9.50 for monthly insurance. We have homeowners insurance that covers rental space. We showed them we have coverage in place but they still charged us. There are other, better facilities nearby that treat customers much better.

Thank you to the owner for responding. I spoke with your office manager on Saturday and she said there was nothing she could do. I told her we were checking out of our unit on January 27 to move to a newer. less expensive unit at CubeSmart which just opened. She said we would have to pay for the full month of February even though we will be out by Jan 31 because we didn't let Midgard know by Jan 1. Another ripoff. I don't blame the local staff as these are policies set by corporate but potential renters should understand all the significant additional costs they will incur if they rent with Midgard.
