Mighty Movers Relocation

A complete nightmare of a moving company. Not sure how Chris the owner goes to sleep every night. Please read my yelp review before making a decision to use this company. Far exceeded contracted price and damaged so many items it’s just heartbreaking. I paid for packing and maybe 70% of my belongings were packed see attached photo how they packed the rest of them. They ran out of space they said on their truck for my items and I’m sure that had to do with the fact that they had personal item such as a riding lawnmower in the truck which took up my space. Forced me to rent a second U-Haul at my own expense not their flat rate fee to do a complete move. see UHaul truck attached photo on how they loaded it and left items behind stating they didn’t have enough room. So much more but again please read my yelp review and please be careful and choose a different Moving Company.

Quick and friendly, easy to work with. Came up to the third floor with all of our stuff and no complaints. Would use again!

I spoke to Chris at Mighty Movers for a move on March 22nd. I started getting nervous about this company after hiring them in February because:
1) They did not have voice mail. The recording said the VM was full if no one answered the phone. They would call you back as soon as they saw your phone number.
2) They would not provide any paperwork or estimate, the estimated time necessary and the costs would change depending upon the question I asked or when I asked it.
3) They charged my credit card $150 almost a month before the move date.
4) Chris had attitude with almost every question I asked. He would talk quickly and act like I was asking unreasonable questions. Kind of a fast talker. I never really got an answer about specific total charges. It was for a 1 bedroom move, and he said it would take 8-9 hours. I re-iterated it was a 1 bedroom, and listed the furniture. He said, ok - maybe 5 hours. That was the only explanations I got. He talked about a 2 hour minimum, but I never understood if that was in addition to the 5 (or 9) hours, because when I asked if Drive time was included in the time (because I didn't want to pay for their breaks on the way), and how they would calculate that - he just talked about the 2 hour mininum, without giving me a total potential estimate.

The company I ended up contracting with - 2 days before the move emailed me an estimate, explained they charged in 15 minute increments so we wouldn't have to pay the entire hourly charge. very professional, and what I would expect from a legitimate company. Unfortunately, unlike Mighty Movers

I decided I was uncomfortable with not knowing how much they would charge me, and it didn't feel like a professional company. and called to cancel on March 19th. Chris immediately hung up on me, and would not answer my calls. I am now in dispute with my credit card company to get the $150 back that they took.

The guys who moved were very professional and nice. They got things done quickly. However they scratched our fridge really bad and ruined our kitchen table. When discussing it with them was told we did this quickly and your getting a great price. You get what you pay for I guess.
