Modern movers helped get me from point A to point b quickly and efficiently. The two guys that came were friendly and gentle with my stuff. Thank you I'll definitely be using them going forward.

We move from Ft Myers to Pennsylvania about 3 weeks ago. Pre- move communication was excellent as well as the men who packed up the furniture and placed it in the moving van. We were told since our furniture was the first on it would not be moved around which sounded good. The PROBLEM was in the delivery. We were not at the house, but our 48 year old son was at the house at work on his computers for the time they were there so he could not watch. Many boxes were put in the wrong place as was furniture even though everything was clearly labeled. My husband especially did not appreciate a heavy box left in the wrong place because he as a 77 year old man with a heart condition had to place it upstairs. A simple Queen bed was not reassembled which he did in about 10 minutes alone and the master beds were not reassembled because they said they did not know how. A phone call to him would have made it real easy for them to reassemble. When we arrived at the house and unpacked the boxes , we found at LEAST ONE MISSING which had clothes and bathroom stuff and pantry food. We wonder if they never moved the furniture how a box could get lost? We rate Modern Movers two stars only because of the excellent service prior to delivery.

Change to 1 star. We are finding more of our stuff is missing after two months The company was initially notified and basically said there is nothing they could do. We received no other communication from them at all even regarding the very poor delivery of what we had.
Apparently, absolutely no effort was made to locate our missing boxes and pieces (one was a small ramp needed for a wheelchair) or after 2 months they would have communicated with us. Would question any pre-loading information you receive. If you make a poor choice by hiring them, you should protect yourself and get the full insurance with pictures of all your items.
