Motivated Movers

Hired Motivated Movers to move our refrigerator from a truck in our driveway to the inside of our garage (which was a short distance).
They did not strap the refrigerator to the dolly. Upon moving it, it tipped and hit a tool box. The door of our Thermador refrigerator was damaged. They said it was their fault and didn't realize it was so tippy. They said they would pay for it. I called them with the cost from the local appliance company. He said they didn't have insurance and hung up on me. Filed a complaint with the BBB and Attorney General's Office. Our next step will be taking them to court.

Hired through uhaul-paid for 3 movers and only 2 came. They were 2 hours later so we started the job on our own because we were doing a cross state move. They said since they still got the job done then it doesnt matter that I paid for more than I got. Their delay caused issues for the rest of our day. I called and emailed but and been ignored about my refund.

They did do a decent job loading the uhaul.

I have a mixed review for this company. They came to my rescue when my originally booked (via U-Haul) moving help did not show up in 2020 for a 1 bedroom move. They did a great job when my son moved again to a new apartment in 2021. However, when I hired them again in 2022 for a bigger move, they sent 3 instead of 4 people. They worked hard (12 hours, due to being short staffed) but did not fully finish all elements of the job as initially requested. Chad, the owner, also broke my hutch’s side glass panel and said he would replace it free of charge. It has been 7+ weeks since late June 2022, and he has not bring the replacement glass yet. Additionally, he had promised to return to finish the last portion of the move, which required moving double mattress, spring box, and a few bulky items from the storage facility to the apartment. The crew did not return to do this. I had to hire a different crew to finish the job.

Ever since the move date, the office stop returning my text and phone calls. The owner is currently unresponsive to voicemail and texts as well. They have become the “Unmotivated Movers”.

Booked movers atleast 3 weeks in advance over the phone. 30 minutes prior to when the movers were supposed to be there to help us move I get a call from Chad the owner of Motivated Movers telling us that he didn't realize we were so far away and that it would be at least 2 hours before they can get there and on top of that they wanted an extra 75 to a $100 I believe it was, because of the distance. Totally unacceptable for that to happen the day of the move. I will not use them nor recommend them to anyone ever.

I hired motivated movers through U haul website to unload the truck I rented from U haul. The movers were lazy and I helped them to get the job done one time. In fact, I worked more than they did. I left a review of two sentences on U haul website. I wrote: Lazy movers. I will never hire them again.!

I received a phone call from one of the movers and his supervisor. I thought they wanted to apologize about what happened but the mover was very mad at me because of my review and suddenly he or his supervisor hanged up the phone on me.!!!

They are not professionals at all. I am going to call U haul and file a complaint against Motivated Movers.!
