Motor City Movers L.L.C

Well, made an appointment for 10. 1030 we called amd they said people called in sick for work and would be in at 11. 1130 came around called again and they said truck had issues and would be in at 1230. Got a call at 1 and they said they couldn’t make it but promised to come at 10am tomorrow and would give a discount. Guess what 1030 came around and they did not show and would not answer their phones. It is 2pm tomorrow and never got a call back. Would never recommend them.

Absolutely horrible experience!!!! THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!!!
We set up our time to move over a month before we were planning to move. The night before the move, they reached out regarding the large items that needed to be moved the following morning.
The morning of the move, they called an hour before they were supposed to be at our house and said “the weather was too bad”. Which was not the case at all. Yes, there were flurries, but I went out and the roads were completely fine. We live in Michigan. If you don’t want to move in the cold and flurries, then close your business for the winter.
We needed our stuff moved that day, and the owner was kind enough to send some guys over, but informed us they might be late. Hours and hours went by without hearing anything. The owner was not answering his phone, but was sending texts saying guys were on their way 3.5 hours after the time we had scheduled. Which was a blatant lie. No one showed up. Incredibly unprofessional and rude. I never imagined that this would be a problem. The amount of stress this company put on us, on what was supposed to be an exciting day, is ridiculous.
Based on previous replies to negative reviews, I’m sure the owner will try and come up with something that did not happen. There was no contract sent to us, ever, which seems to be the excuse he uses most frequently. Terrible, terrible experience. The only recommendation I have regarding these guys is to find literally any other company to help you out.

Chris, Aaron, and Mike (poppa bear) were 15 minutes early to move and we’re quick to get started. They deassembled and Reassembled everything for us, they told us on the phone it would take 5 hours and they were right on the dot. The movers only took one 5 minute break in that process. Would recommend to anyone looking to move in the near future.

I would recommend this company! The movers were friendly, courteous, and extremely hard workers! Everything was moved with great care!

Movers were on time, polite, and efficient during moving process. However, movers destroyed a piece of furniture during move, neglected to say anything about it, and left me to discover it on my own after they left. As the pictures show, there is no way they did not know they destroyed it.
As a result, I had move the furniture back downstairs myself and out to the trash. When I contacted the owner, he simply replied that it wasn't covered due to the type of material it was made out of... no apology for not disclosing it was broken during move or even small offer of retribution. It really ruined what could have been a good experience and review.

UPDATE: Blatant lies in owner's response to attempt to discredit my review. I've attached text messages from Sean/Brian as evidence. If the two gentlemen would have carried the piece of furniture up the stairs versus one using a dolly, my daughter would still have her armoire. And which is it Brian? Did I damage it myself or did Sean let me know it wouldn't survive the move (which he never did)? You might want to revise your response and just be honest.
