It has been 90 days since the company picked up all my items for a cross country move. I still haven't received my things and have no idea when or if I will ever see my things again.
Terrible company we were forced to use through another moving company. Move Us To Relocation did not even know where our shipment was and never told us they were going to put our shipment into storage for over 4 weeks!! We were told our shipmemt would be picked up and loaded onto a truck and then brought to our delivery address and it would take between 16-24 days after pick up to arrive. My husband and I called several times over the course of a couple weeks after it had already been over 4 weeks since we had arrived to our delivery address and had not heard a single word from the company about any delays or such with our shipment. When we finLly got a hold of someone we were told our shipment had been put into storage and they were not able to find a truck to take our shipment from california to upstate new york. He told us he would notify us when our shipment had left california, but he did not. Instead my husband and I had to keep calling and then two days before our shipment finally arrived we were told by the same person(Nigel) that our shipment was still in california and he still did not know when it would be shipped. Our shipment arrived two days after that phone call but showed up with only one guy to unlpad everything. My husband had to help unload yet we still had to pay $75 extra because of stairs inside our house!! TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY DO NOT USE!!!
Did there job nothing broken or missing
I am amazed and appalled at the level of unprofessionalism with this company. I received a text from them going on and on about not hiring them and 'if you had answered the phone even once when I called I would have told you all of this before you made a huge mistake booking with a broker'. When I followed up to see who in the world sent me this text, this is the response I received 'this is someone who works for a real moving company, not a broker who you likely used to book your move. Use the link provided to the DOT website and check out the company you trusted enough to hire'. Who in the world talks like this to a potential customer? First of all, you don't have any clue what I am going on in MY life and there may be a reason that I haven't followed up with you. For you to text me like this is not only unprofessional, but disgusting as a business. Do you think you can shame someone into not booking with you? That's a great strategy for business. Who taught you customer service? Or did anyone even take the time to do that? I can assure you I will NEVER book with you. It's none of your business what I decided to do for my move because at the end of the day it's MY MONEY and MY TIME. Maybe you can take some courses in customer service and kindness so that will help you be not only a better advocate for your company and a better person.
I booked my move from Irving, TX through Perennial Vanlines. They contracted Move Move Us to Relocation to do our move. Pickup guys revised our estimate to almost double our original estimate- They estimated on Volume, which I had no way to validate.(Cubic Feets) - I had no way but to agree as I could not afford to change my travel plans. They rushed us in to signing our papers. In the papers they conveniently excluded my costly King size mattress, which I only noticed on delivery. Mattress is lost (missing - stolen) On delivery it was on a Sunday. They want extra 75$ for more than 7 steps. My contract with Perennial I signed was free delivery up to 21 steps. As it was a Sunday I could not get in touch with Perennial and I was forced to pay this fee. Just after delivery, I noticed my apple airpods missing from my home. I called the delivery truck driver and he said they have not taken it. But no one visited our house while delivery was happening, and I had seen it during delivery. I can not prove it that they stole it, but I am 100% sure. We had filed a police theft case.
