Working with this company was a complete disaster. Took 2 weeks to deliver, multiple missing items and alot of damage and took months to resolve. Do not even consider this company if you are moving cross country
Great service from start to finish. Very professional and handled my items with care and respect
This is an absolute joke of a moving company. They will steal your belongings, overcharge for basic services, and not respond to basic inquiries. If you use Moving Depot, prepare to set aside at least 50% of the cost of the move just to replace and repair all the stuff they break, steal, and lose.
Overall, I experienced widespread unprofessionalism, rudeness, and no communication. Moving Depot, LLC frequently gave me evasive, vague answers and misinformation to my basic questions (e.g., estimated delivery date, update on my items).
The day of pick-up, I was given less than 24 hours notice and the movers were 4 hours late. I was presented with multiple hidden fees (e.g., elevator upcharge) and a bill that was double what I was quoted (due to 'more stuff than quoted' despite giving them an inventory ahead of time). After the movers left, one of the men obtained my personal cell phone number from the moving paperwork and texted me inappropriately.
I was initially verbally assured that my items would be delivered within 7-14 business days from my first available. In reality, it ended up being 21 business days (an entire month). Each time I called Moving Depot, LLC for an update, I was given evasive answers. On the day of delivery (the last possible day before partial refunds would be incurred), I was only given 3 hours notice that my items were going to be delivered, despite a verbal promise that I would receive 12-24 hours notice. Without any notice or consent, my delivery was subcontracted out to another company that was unfamiliar with any details and pressured me to pay for a toll charge, despite my bill of lading explicitly covering toll charges.
Upon looking through my things, I discovered that some sort of animal had made its home in one of my moving boxes, chewing through the items inside (white wicker basket and pink sheer curtains) and leaving behind fecal droppings. Other items were also damaged or missing.
I called Moving Depot, LLC to ask to speak with a supervisor about the service I received. I was told there was no supervisor in the office, they cannot tell me when a supervisor will be in the office, and they cannot connect me directly to a supervisor. Suddenly, another woman (Ariel) came on the phone and started verbally abusing/berating me, screaming, and cussing me out before hanging up on me abruptly.
Do not hire this company. Do not do any business with this company. Do not make the same mistake that I, and many other reviewers here, made. Horrible, horrible experience.
