I feel so fortunate to have found Moving Kings and will never use another moving company again. This was our sixth move in 10 years and the first time that nothing has been broken in transit. Shannon was great to work with and even had a follow up from the owner to make sure everything was up to our standards. The crew arrived on time, meticulously wrapped everything, and were very efficient. Thank you Moving Kings, you made this stressful move a little easier on our family.
Enjoyable moving experience with this timely crew! They went above and beyond wrapping items as not to get damaged in transit. Would definitely recommend and use again!
We have moved many times over the last 25 years and this was, by far, our worst move ever! We contracted with Purple Heart Moving Group who subcontracted our move to Moving King’s NC. We meticulously went over our inventory with Purple Heart and when Moving King’s arrived the morning of our move they had a truck that would not hold all of our belongings. They blamed Purple Heart for the mix up. We should have known that from that moment on things would be bad. They finally got us packed - I use that term very loosely as they did not bring enough blankets and packing materials - and headed out around 3 am. The person who showed up for our move was Julian. We thought that he worked for the company. We later found out that he owns the company and never once told us. Even after we gave him a tip (because we were trying to treat the workers well) he never once declined the tip nor told us that he was in charge. All of our items had to be moved to a warehouse for a week and then reloaded and delivered. On the day of moving our furniture into our new home we were shocked to find that many of our items had been damaged - Thomasville Furniture scratched, chairs scratched, tables ruined, art pieces broken, etc. The movers who unloaded our furniture apologized and told us that they had never seen such a bad move. We immediately called the Company and spoke with Shannon, the Operations Manager, who apologized and said that she would contact the owner - Julian. This is when we found out that he owned the company.
She promised that he would call that Monday as our move was over the weekend. Our move was in May and we still have not received a phone call from him! I could go on and on but the bottom line is that they did thousands of dollars worth of damage, withheld paperwork for months, promised to make things right, etc and we just received a settlement offer for $85! That is less thAn the tip that we provided to the owner on the day of the move! I highly recommend that you do not contract with them for any type of move - ever!!! I welcome an investigation by a local TV station. I am happy to share emails, phone calls, pictures, texts, etc so that others do not have to endure what we did!
I had the worst moving experience in my life with Moving Kings of Sanford NC. The movers came unprepared with basic things they needed such as packing tape, screwdrivers, etc that I had to provide for them to break down beds and wrap glasses for tables. The most horrific thing that happened was the mover driving the moving truck backed the truck into my car and scratched the side of my car. When I contacted the owner (Julian), he dismissed what his driver did due to it “only being a scratch”. The customer service representative Shannon said that she would definitely call me back to take care of things and I never heard from them again. I have waited two weeks for a response before deciding to post how horrible my experience was. I definitely would NOT recommend this moving company to anyone who needs a reliable moving company.
Update: As far as the response below from the owner, this is untrue. I have witnesses who know I called him as soon as it happened. This is not the first time hearing of your movers deficiencies because Shannon was informed and she apologized profusely. As far as offering to have someone buff out the scratches, this is again a lie because I never heard from anyone and waited two entire weeks before completing a review to give your company time to resolve the matter. I understand your attempt to salvage your company’s reputation but you should own the fact that what your movers did was wrong. I stand beside the fact that this was the worst move I have ever experienced and would not recommend this moving company.
