MY MOVE

Do not hire this company! MyMove did a cross-country move for us in August 2018. It was a complete disaster! Breakable items were placed in boxes without padding or protection. When we weren’t in the room to watch each packer carefully, they tossed breakables in boxes, along with other objects and without padding. They stacked heavy objects on top of lighter furniture when loading the truck. They lost part of our shipment.

One of the biggest problems with this moving company: they often load your belongings in a truck and pile them from floor to ceiling, without paying attention to the things that will crush or break. Then they unload them into their warehouse, again stacking them without care. When they are ready to deliver, they re-load the items onto another truck, which may or may not unload somewhere mid-point and reload it onto a third truck. When the truck arrives and they are ready to unpack it, they hire a local teams with no particular affiliation with MyMove. They are simply workers who need a job and are willing to schlep heavy stuff off the truck. No training regarding breakage or putting things back together when they arrive. All of this caused much more damage.

Nearly all our wood furniture, including many desks, bookcases, and end tables, arrived broken. An expensive patio table was packed without removing the legs, stacking heavy boxes on top of it, and the legs snapped off. They did not bother to take the furniture apart completely and often carried it as a unit by the shelves, causing shelves and parts of the furniture to break off.

They lost part of our shipment, and it took multiple phone calls for them to recognize that they left it in the warehouse. They were often slow returning phone calls or email.

Richard did our first meeting and set up the contract with us. He was attentive and helpful, but in the end none of this mattered because of the way our belongings were packed and broken.

Our experience with MyMove was a disaster, and I strongly recommend not using this moving company. They don’t care about your belongings. They care about making money and cutting corners to maximize their profit..

Worst experience ever from a moving company. I have moved multiple times so have experience. Group of the most incompetent movers ever. Spent way to much to have most of my items damaged or lost. Save your money and use another company!

MyMove is responsible for making sure that the items you want shipped are delivered. We got our initial batch of items, but we were told by the movers 10% of the inventory is missing and unaccounted for. We called MyMove who spent the next 45 days trying to figure out what happened, but eventually found them and shipped.

If you are looking for a competent company who is unlikely to lose your items, look elsewhere.
