Scam moving company. Do not do business with them. They don't honor their word.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! THEY ARE BROKERS WHO TURN AROUND AND SELL YOUR CONTRACT. THEY BROKE OUR BELONGINGS AND LOST SO MANY ITEMS. WE COULD NEVER GET A HOLD OF ANYONE TO TRACK OUR BELONGINGS. THEY QUOTES US $7000. WHEN TRUCKS WERE LOADED , THEY CHARGED US $17000. WE HAD NO CHOICE BECAUSE WE HAD TO LEAVE.
SCAM - DO NOT HIRE THEM !
All of the positive google reviews seem very fake, its weird none of them say where any of them were moving from or to ?
Go look at the Yelp reviews, you'll see a real picture of this company. So many people with the same story as me.
It's a bait and switch scam, they gave us a great quote to move our things, then after truck was loaded said it would be way more, have to pay cash/check, when they arrived were missing a bunch of our items, when we called they said was 'in transit', now when we call/email they don't answer, we still haven't received our things 4 months later. Book someone else, anyone else for your move
We were quoted $2400 for our 1 bedroom apartment and the inventory we provided. When the movers showed up (someone MyProMovers subcontracted out to and were definitely not professional movers or professionals at all) they quickly went through the apartment and took a video, sent it over to “headquarters” and started packing us up. Once we were more than ½ packed up we were told that our new price would be $6,000!!!! They did this estimate adjustment on the day we were supposed to move out of our house, when half our stuff was already packed up; our hands were literally tied. Furthermore, when we were asked to sign the contract at the end the woman who was there facilitating the agreement (also completely unprofessional, she had to ask me for a pen, for markers for the moving boxes, for scissors — completely unprepared for her job) told us to initial a space on the contract which was OPTIONAL according to the contract language and which waived the companies responsibility for anything that was broken in the move down to $0.60 per pound of broken materials. This would mean that if my bed which weighs about one hundred pounds and is worth over $3k were broken in the move we’d get $60.
Also, the movers broke the plate that went inside our microwave then tried to hide it but I found a piece of it by the curb after they left (see photo).
This whole experience was an absolute nightmare and I will forever discourage anyone I know from using MyProMovers.
At the time of pick up (the day I had to be out) they tripled the price. On the day of delivery, they would not deliver. After paying $6000. I then had to rent a UHaul truck, they moved my stuff from the big truck into the UHaul, but then I had to drive it to my house and hire a local company to unload. Once I started to unpack I realized I was missing about 2/3 of my property, but I did have 6 boxes,a nightstand and a mattress that belonged to someone else. I managed to reach the other property owner and she had to drive over 3 hours in a rental truck to pickup her stuff. I called the mypromovers office and customer service rep Barbara promised to find my stuff. She will no longer take my calls or answer my emails. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Rent a pod. Pack your own stuff hire someone to load it. Then lock it up until it’s delivered. STAY IN CONTROL OF YOUR BELONGINGS AT ALL TIMES. PJP
