New Beginnings Moving and Storage

Our experience with these guys was totally different to most of the other reviews. I can only assume that others were moving a few small items or maybe from an apartment in which case this company may be OK.
BUT they couldn't handle a 3 bed house with basement. I was told our house was a 1 day move. In addition, I paid for insurance just in case of any damages.
On moving day they were meant to be here at 9.30 am but they didn't turn up until 1.30pm. Of course, there was no way they could then complete the move in a day. They told me they would have to come back the next day to complete the move. Luckily, the people moving in were not doing so for a few days otherwise, I would have been up the proverbial creek without a paddle if I had to rely on these jokers.
Naturally, I didn't pay them (Thank God) until they completed the move because the next morning, they called me to state that they would be charging for the next day because the move hadn't been completed in 1 day. I told them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine after clearly explaining to them that had they turned up in the morning at 9.30, they would have completed the job in 1 day. But since THEY were late, that's not my fault. They then tried to explain it away by saying their truck has broken down. I told them that's neither my problem or fault.
They eventually agreed to complete the move in the same price only after I agreed to pay the drivers directly.
Furthermore, one of my desks was damaged with a very large scratch across the top surface. Despite having insurance, I never got anything for the eventual repair cost. So much for having 'insurance'. It's a total scam.
This company is a joke from start to finish and I would never recommend them for anything. To be fair, the actual movers (Carlos and his team) were 1st class and I can't recommend them highly enough. But the owners (who just sub-contract the work out), are not to be relied upon as they just don't give a damn.

I recently used this moving company for my move and couldn't be more pleased with the service. From the very beginning, Mike was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the scheduling process a breeze. On moving day, Carlos and Matt showed up on time and were extremely hard-working and professional throughout the entire process. They handled my belongings with great care and worked efficiently to get everything moved quickly. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a stress-free moving experience!
