New Jersey Transport inc Moving Company

Terrible company. They load up the truck and charge double the price. Either you pay or they keep your stuff. Extremely costly. Stay away from this company . They damaged a dresser and would only reimburse $66. Then they hang up on you or don’t answer the phone. Stay away from this place.

We have been trying to contact this company ever since they picked up our stuff. From a storage unit. That has 400cu.ft. that was not even completely filled. So how are they are able to charge for 520 cu.ft.?!?!? And of course they refuse to return messages and the phone number is never answered by an actual person. Now this company expects 2k MORE than the quote for stuff that doesn't exist?!?! How is that legal.

One of the delivery guys stole my gold hoop earrings which were in my closet on a shelf. There was no absolutely no reason at all to go in the closet. They made sure to stack moving boxes 6 deep in front of my closet door so it would take me some time to make the discovery. I got haggled for a tip at the end and I felt bad that I didn't have much cash left, only to find out one of the guys took their own tip (my earrings). A large chunk of my items moved from Texas never showed up either. Not 100% if it was because of these guys or the pickup guys in Texas.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Once they pick up your stuff you never hear from them again. After a full week and a few days of waiting patinetly for our stuff to arrive or at least a phone call uodate from the company we have heard nothing. Called everyday for the past three days to find a status update, left emails and voicemails, no one has reached out.... Finally after waiting on hold for over an hour, someone said our stuff would be here next Tuesday the earliest, that is over 15 days!!!! Interesting how the sales contract you signed said 1-7 business days, BUT then they said we signed another bindng contract AFTER our truck was loaded that said 14-26 days. And do NOT listen to steve the salesmen. He pomised and promised us time and again that they were not a company that upcharges you after they load the tuck, well that was a joke becuase we were charged an additonal 2k after truck was loaded. We gave an accurate inventory count we said 70 boxes and DID NOT even have 70 boxes. This is the worst possible moving company please do yourself a favor and stay away.

We were charged an additional $5,000 over the quoted price, they communicated this to us the day before the move and the day of. we moved out of state and the day before the move we had no choice but to pay. We asked why and were told our inventory increased, it didn't, and our money would probably be returned to us once they physically saw what we had. No money was returned, I have reached out to the company with no response. I have filed complaints every where I can. DO NOT USE THEM
