North American Van Lines

The move went fairly well. On the pickup day the movers arrived 25 minutes past the 2 hour window. They were somewhat slow but they did take the time to wrap the furniture and any loose items up in blankets although my sofa arrived with a broken leg. On the day of delivery they arrived over 2 hours past the 2 hour window but unloaded everything fairly quickly. There was some confusion about payment. I was told I had to pay using either cash or a bank check before they would unload(or prepay with a credit card). I decided to pay cash but the driver said they don’t accept cash. That was the only way I could pay at that point so he said he would accept it but wouldn’t take it until after they unloaded which was totally opposite of what I was originally told.

We have mostly used North American Van Lines for our move and they have yet again helped us with a peaceful move. The driver Tristan came to do the packing as well, which is rare. Usually the packing crew is separate. He was very polite and professional. A couple of TVs had cracks, which I am not thrilled about and they can do a better job with the TV packing. But overall the interstate move was seamless.

I asked for quote.. the rep came and gave me an original quote .. he stated the quote would be more exact if I packed my personal things and showed what I wanted the CO to pack … so I did and I was happy w quote .. however, I had no one to move my bedroom set so I told the rep way ahead in time and he stated that the CO would take it and they would donate to charity… well it did not happen as well as telling me that the CO would remove old furniture and take it to dumpster …
So the guys packing were very upset, the driver is a perfect gentleman and he helped me w my request … the 2 guys packing had a negative attitude…
Also when I packed my stuff, I showed the rep and he stated it was fine. … but these two guys complaint about my packing… I’m not a packer ; However. I believe I did an excellent job!
These 2 guys repacked everything and in process I lost lamp parts…
I know things happen well my teak dining room table got chipped as well as my track coffee table … I paid an expensive price to move … clear communication needs to be established …other than that, the car arrived in time in perfect condition these people are perfect…
Aside from the two rude guys, The people I dealt w were professional , kind understanding, empathetic and the move arrived very fast.
The move went perfect in Florida its originally destination. The guys helping were just perfect!
