North American Van Lines

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this moving company.
I paid $451 extra because a 3rd party had to come disassemble my treadmill and crate the screen then reassemble upon delivery. They never showed up to disassemble. Called North American and they said no problem, the movers can just put it on the truck,as is, and then the 3rd party can come disassemble and crate the screen at our warehouse. Um, no, that's not what I paid for and the treadmill wouldn't fit through the doorway without being taken apart anyway. So the moving guys ended up taking it apart and I took the screen with me.
Delivery was a nightmare! The driver called and said he was going to be an hour late, no big deal, but also important to note that he sounded perfectly fine and coherent. He shows up and and then a local helper showed up. Not even halfway through the offload, the driver becomes odd. He came up to us and tried to speak but it was just gibberish coming out. He'd giggle then try speaking again only to get gibberish. This was a cycle that went on for about 3 minutes until I went out to talk to the helper who said he didn't know what was wrong with him either. I called my contact at the moving company and told her what was happening. She said she'd call his immediate supervisor who would then call the driver to see what was happening. He was still inside when he took that call and he answered the phone just fine but a few sentences in, he was speaking gibberish again. So his supervisor heard what was happening. Before I could get ahold of the company again, he was done and leaving. On his way out, he tore up the grassy island in our cul de sac, took out a tree limb in a neighbor's yard, and hit a brick mailbox in another neighbor's yard. This man was in NO condition to drive and in hind sight, I wish I had called the police instead of the company. When his boss heard him talking he should have 'grounded' him and sent a replacement driver.
I sent pictures to the company and they're going to pay for the damages.
I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the helper with him was a rockstar and did most of the offload and lifting by himself. Unfortunately I didn't get his name.

Everything arrived on time and in great shape. We would use North American again.
